General Objective : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to read the text
of the song, sing the song, and talk about their family
members.
Specific Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to listen to and
enjoy singing the song, read the text of the song, and identify
the characteristics of their family members.

the closest people in their lives.

2. Teacher guides pupils to sing the
adapted song.
3. Pupils are asked to sing the song
twice.

4. Afterwards, teacher divides the
class into two groups; Group A, and
Group B.
5. Teacher instructs group A to sing
the lines marked with ‘(A)’, and
Group B sing the lines marked with
‘(B)’.
6. Then, teacher will ask the groups to
compete among them to sing the
song.
7. Group who sing well without stutter
will win.
8. After that, teacher will ask
questions about the song and the
activity they have just done.
9. Next, teacher distributes the
worksheets to each pupil.
10. Pupils are asked to complete the
task sheet.
11. Teacher will call pupils randomly to
read the words they have circled.
12. Pupils will be asked why they
choose that word to describe their
mother.

down their names and class at the
back of the booklet.

of the book on the front page.
4. Next, teacher demonstrates how to
make a simple family tree on the
blackboard.
5. Then, teacher will ask pupil to
develop pupils’ own family tree in
the booklet.
6. Afterwards, pupils need to write
down on each page of the booklet
the names and the position of their
family members.
7. Pupils then need to write a
sentence to describe the
characteristics of their family
members.
8. Lastly, teacher will randomly pick
pupils to present their booklets.
