I find escape from lifes everyday hustle and bustle through drawing. It has been of great importance to me since I can recreate stories from fairytales, myths and legends- a realm which is very different from the one were living in. I also consider drawing to be my personal tool to connect visually the emotions which are hindered by self-concealment.

My works are by-products of day-dreams, tales and obscure emotions. Influenced with the process of print-making, I try to emulate the unique textures of prints with the use of pen and ink. I incorporate contrasting elements in my illus-trations with examples such as life and death, beauty and decay, the yin and yang.

Like an indelible mark made by the pen to the paper, my intent is to leave an imprint to the viewers, a story showing the beauty of duality and somehow unravel a deeper emotional meaning to life and the inevitability of death.
