HIGHLIGHTS/

1// The Wire People

The Wire People is an ephemeral public installation that situates human-like sculptures, made of inter-twined wire and recycled electronic cables, in public places: There they pose staring at their transparent phones, similarly to the people around them. It reflects the connected disconnect of the daily, while evidencing the astonishing amount of electronic waste thrown away. The Wire People is a production by NMU collective and it is set in San Francisco for the time being. It has been awarded by The Awesome Foundation (March 2014) and featured in Berkeley, Oakland and other loca-tions in the East Bay of San Francisco.(see web: http://cargocollective.com/nmu)

2// Graphic workMy drawings are fueled by unknown stories: A wonder about the connections between things that surround us, between things we make, between ourselves. How easy it is to build up stories departing from little things: wondering who lives in the house across the street and telling yourself their fragmen-tary facts, imaginining it all. Yet some truth lays beneath as it lays at the bottom of any human activity. As well as rendering a distinct point of view through the drawings, I aim to include a narrative into them, an intention of what is being said. But above all, for me, drawing is a tool for observation.

3// IllustrationI work in illustration taking real references, and also from pho-tography and images of my own production. I use a variety of wet techniques, as well as oil-based and a combination of mediums, de-pending on each project. I work with different formats, from field notepads to large canvases.

THEATRE/scenography & space

1// scenographyI have worked creating stage designs within the theater group Caín. All the members collaborating in designing and constructing every set, working towards reutilization of materials and clean pictures. Giving the nature of theater, I can say I am experienced in build-ing structures/stage sets under stress conditions, in short time and with disparate resources.

2// building structuresIn 2014 I participated in the Hello Wood Art Camp which took place in Csórompuszta, Hungary. I went with a team led by EMBT architects that built a structure made entirely out of wood timber, with no nails or screws, responding to a theme ‘balance’.

In 2013 I collaborated with Tomcat Designs in constructing and set-ting a stage Haunted House for Hallowe’en, themed ‘Grimm brothers and Edward Gorey’. This was a reversible construction structured by 2x4 dimensional lumber and held inside of a large garage. (video available online)
