Dynamic Positioning (DP) is a specialised method of holding ships in

position without the use of conventional moorings.

The use of DP systems require intimate equipment knowledge along

with strict standards of training and personnel selection.

Chief Executive Officer, Capt. Mike Meade (MNI), combines expert offshore knowledge, operational, technical and commercial management with strong business acumen and is described by many as a man with his ‘finger very much on the pulse’. Mike previously held senior management positions in Seacor Holdings Inc and the Swire Group and has accumulated extensive exposure and success in dealing with major oil companies and offshore marine/engineering service providers, globally. Mike is a trusted and respected contributor to the commercial needs of the Subsea network both locally and globally and is the Asia Pacific representative on the IMCA Marine Division Management Committee.

Chief Operating Officer, Captain John Meade, is the Group’s lead for Sale and Purchase on the brokerage team and brings a wealth of knowledge and acquired skills across a wide range of marine disciplines. Having held senior roles in Marine Warranty, Pilotage, Towage and Port Operations, John provides additional depth to the Group’s consultancy arm M3 Marine Expertise and provides expert and valued opinion to the Industry. Lead Chartering Broker, Sophia Low (BEng), graduated from Nanyang Technological University in 2006 with a Bachelor in Materials Engineering. Sophia is a dedicated and energetic individual. She first joined the oil & gas industry as a drilling engineer working on offshore jack-ups to provide technical support to the drilling team and as a well design engineer. She joined M3 Marine as an offshore shipbroker armed with in depth knowledge of the upstream industry and understanding of the demands of the drilling fraternity. Her skills compliment the team dynamic for M3 Marine and the provision of value-added ship broking services to M3 Marine client’s.

Broker, Aslinda Wati has over 10 years experience in the offshore marine industry. Linda’s motivation and positive, pro-active mindset with a keen eye for detail and a desire to learn, saw her progress rapidly into management positions in procurement and administration, including extensive marketing and commercial experience whilst at Seacor Marine and Hallin Marine. Commercial Executive, You Ru Tan (BEng) graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from NTU. Prior to M3 Marine, You Ru worked for Saipem’s Commercial Dept. compiling information for bid pre-qualification and assisting in bid preparation against complex offshore pipelay and construction projects. As Commercial Executive on the M3 Marine Brokers’ Team, You Ru assists in administrative and documentation works and liaises directly with M3 Marine’s extensive owner client base to maintain the detailed Sales and Purchase and Charter Offshore Support Vessel Availability List.

Broker, Richard Meade (BSc) is a graduate of Bristol University, worked as a biochemist undertaking research at Bath University before joining M3 Marine to continue his professional development in the commercial field, focusing on the offshore marine, oil and gas industry. Richard has a colourful background having travelled extensively throughout. He has a sharp, logical and well organized mind, comprehensive IT skills, a Cambridge certificate in Arab Studies and is a conscientious communicator at all levels. He excelled in his laboratory work, employing the use of modern chemical and biological techniques to develop novel methods for the control of noxious species. He is an exciting new addition to M3 Marine and has the tenacity and focus to build on his understanding of the specialist offshore industry and bring his strengths and abilities to fruition.

Managing Director, Joey Fisher (IEng IMarEng MIMarEST, First Class Chief Engineer) has over 12 years offshore marine engineering experience. His particular expertise is related to high-end Dynamically Positioned Offshore Support, Subsea Construction and Diving Support Vessels and he is highly qualified to advise on the integration of vessel machinery, equipment and systems, specialised subsea (such as Saturation Dive) systems and as author / auditor of FMEA’s. Joey is an accomplished surveyor, superintendent and project manager and has the depth and breadth of experience to ensure consistent and quality driven deliverables and exacting standards.

European Rep/Marine Consultant, Captain John Carroll, (MNI, BSc) is based in the UK and brings another dimension to M3 Marine. He was a Master in the offshore industry on board AHTS and Salvage vessels. Since leaving the sea he has over twenty years’ experience in marine consulting and the marine insurance industry. His latest role, prior to working with M3, was as a marine loss control engineer/risk manager for a US international insurance company based in their London City office. John is capable of assisting in the following markets: salvage, wreck removal, condition surveys, risk assessment, risk management for project cargoes, marine representation and marine warranty surveys. He has the ability to be embedded within a client’s/main contractors office and offer value-added marine consultancy services to assist in the completion of marine projects.

Marketing & Business Development Manager, Wei Ling Low (BSc) is a highly self-motivated, dedicated and goal-oriented professional who possesses a strong sense of responsibility and positive work attitude. Graduating from SMU with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management, Wei Ling took a bold career step by moving to China to work with Yantai CIMC Raffles, one of the largest rig builders in China. Her experience in project management brings added depth and enhances the Group’s technical and commercial portfolios. Wei Ling also spent several years working her way up through the ranks of Swiber Offshore’s commercial and marketing team and boosts the Group’s market analysis capabilities. Projects & Inspections Manager, Alex Brabin (First Class Chief Engineer) has extensive experience as a superintendent and project manager in shipbuilding, conversion and major repairs on a variety of offshore support vessels and provides consultancy on offshore vessels installations and systems such as dynamic positioning systems, saturation diving systems and vessel propulsion systems. Alex has a keen understanding of classification and flag states related topics and survey requirements, analysis and problem solving for machinery, electrical and dive systems, planning and project management of vessel dry dockings, repair and conversions, and acceptance and commissioning of vessels into service.

Projects Engineer, Elizabeth Anne Morris (CEng MIMechE) has 9 years industry experience since leaving university, as project engineer in the offshore industry. Lizzie has extensive experience with the manufacture , installation and commissioning of deep water mooring connectors and has overseen their installation in the Gulf of Mexico and Australia, as well as being involved with overall project planning/client interface and internal planning and budgetary controls. She has recently been heavily involved with modifications to self-propelled jack-ups for use in offshore wind farm projects, from design, class approval and planning to execution and commissioning. Lizzie understands the demands of both ISO 9000 & 14000 accreditation and the demands of discerning clients, to ensure contract compliance and successful delivery.

Commercial Executive, Sarasvini Chandrasekeran BSc (Eng) ("Vini") is an Honors graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture from Newcastle University, and holds a Diploma in Marine Engineering from the Singapore Polytechnic. Prior to joining M3 Expertise, Vini worked as a Project Engineer where she gained valuable experience in the areas of procurement and project management for work barges; and is experienced in the drafting of offshore structural and mechanical drawings. Vini now joins the M3 Marine Group as a Commercial Executive and adds further value and depth to the technical capability of the M3 Expertise team.

Projects Engineer, Luke Rust is an experienced Marine Engineer and Project Manager with extensive experience in shipbuilding, conversion and major repairs across a variety of sea going vessels but with particular expertise in complex DP2 and DP3 Offshore Support Vessels. Luke provides high quality auditing and inspection consultancy across the wide array of vessel types including audit and verification of Dynamic Positioning and vessel propulsion systems.

M3 Expertise Intern, Teo Hui Fang is currently pursuing a Diploma in Maritime Business at the Singapore Polytechnic. Having joined M3 Marine as an intern, she is learning the different facets of marine industry. Her role as an intern allows her to be proactive, enabling her to learn what cannot be taught in school. During her internship at M3 Marine, she hopes to get exposed to as much knowledge and experience that the offshore industry offers. She is an eager learner and possess positive attitude in her work.

M3 Offshore Brokers Intern, Kuet Shao Heng is currently pursuing a Diploma in Maritime Business at Singapore Polytechnic. Having interned on different maritime sectors in China and India, Shao has adapted well in different environments which is his added advantage in this age of globalization. During his internship at M3 Marine, he hopes to be exposed and offered many learning opportunities to further enrich his knowledge in the offshore sector.

Financial Controller, David Woon (CPA, MBA), holds a MBA degree from California State University, Hayward, USA and is a Certified Public Accountant with a Degree in Accountancy from NTU, Singapore. David joined M3 Marine as a Financial Controller of the M3 Group of Companies in October 2009. He strives to provide financial leadership and is a business partner to the management to drive M3’s growth. Prior to joining M3 Marine, David has more than 15 years of financial and corporate experience acquired with both MNCs and SMEs in offshore consultancy and other service industries where he assumed senior finance positions.

Accounts Executive, Shirley Tay studied at Clifford Educational Centre where she was awarded with the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in Bookkeeping and Accounting. She is currently pursuing an advanced level course in CAT and has plans to pursue ACCA after.
