Magazine Album Advert – Flat Plan

I wanted to experiment with changing the "Album out now" text with different colours created by the blurred light imagery. I looked on YouTube how to do this effect. I created my text.

I then selected the blurred light images I wanted to experiment with to place over the text.

I then right clicked the blurred light layer and chose "Create Clipping Mask"

I added an extra image for the "Album" text. This effect looked very interesting with the different blurred light textures within the text itself. 

Here I applied the "Album out now" edit which seemed to link in with the colourful images that were already on the magazine advert.

I experimented with this clip mask effect with the album title itself however I think it looked to dull and took away the impact of the text.

I tried the clipping mask to add blurred colours to the artist name "Mosaik" at the top of the page, however again I thought it took away its impact and did not stand out enough.

The "Mosaik" and "Includes.." text was removed because I thought it was distracting from the main album title and it suited the genre better, as the chill genre (and other close related genres) work with simplicity a lot more frequently, which tends to create an abstract feeling, otherwise it looks too congested.
