Chef Sandra Quezada Cuéllar THE WOMAN IN CHARGE OF LEADING OUR BANQUET IN ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT AND EXISTENT DINNER PARTIES.

Casual, classy, elegant and well balanced are the words that Chef Sandra Quezada Cuellar uses to describe the ambient in the wedding banquets she is locally renow-ned for. Through the conversation that we shared, we could easily point out the reason behind her local recog-nition and why she is the main person to go to when planning a wedding banquet.

What is the meaning of a wedding party? It is a major achievement for me to offer a wedding banquet on a day that is of such great importance, as a wedding party. I take personal care on inspecting every single detail, as small as it is, from doing a cus-tom planning with both the bride and groom in order to satisfy every need, through the day that the banquet is being served to the guests. I take great pride on making this day a memorable day for everyone attending the wedding party.

When did you first start this project?I had the great opportunity to intern as a Professional Chef for one of the most important restaurants in the city of Monterrey: Pangea. This business offered banquet servicing for wedding parties and there was where my interest first initiated to dedicate myself to the profes-sional planning of these sort of social events; moreover, in that place I gained the professional experience to go further with this lifestyle.

How do you accomplish to keep the newlyweds and guests satisfied?Every dish is designed and prepared based of the per-sonal taste of the clients, we develop personalized me-nus. Our deck of services is unlimited; every event has its personalized and unique way of being served, taste

and event ambient. During the planning constructed with the newlyweds to choose the dished that are going to be prepared for the event is the most important part of this business; furthermore, we have bartender, waiter, cocktail, formal banquet , buffet and many more services available for our clients.

How can we choose a menu that fits a wedding party and which are your favorite dishes for such events?A well balanced menu is the best option, with plenty contrasts, different textures and tastes. My personal fa-vorites would be: Pureed walnut soup accompanied by crunchy lobster, tenderloin center cut, Kataifi shrimp and to finalize warm apple sauce with vanilla flavored ice cream.

How is your relationship with the newlyweds before and after your service? We found the relationship with our clients based on excellent communication and custom made service. I really think that is the only way in which we can truly know what is the kind of event that the newlyweds want to share with their guests. After the service is provided, the newlyweds and the guests usually become clients of my restaurant, Tunnel Bistro, and that brings me great satisfaction and pride meaning that the service that was provided satisfied the attendees.

It is of major importance to dedicate time to the bridal makeup, because on that day you desire to feel special and the photographs taken will function as a vivid memory for the rest of their life. We know what kind of makeup is nee-ded for every type of bride, it is unique for every single one of them, and professional makeup artists focus mainly on making good details noticeable while correcting facial fea-tures that the bride is not comfortable with, always putting the bride’s desires as a priority.

Today we are going to learn further about the bridal makeup process as a result of an interview performed on Veronica Villareal, a Professional Image Stylist that has a wide career with around 12 years of experience backing her up inside the Professional Stylist business world.

Since when and how did you start working with this D’Salon project?D’Salon first starts approximately 3 years ago after 12 years of hard work inside the great Professional Styling world.

What is your major inspiration while working on embellishing an upcoming bride? My inspiration is founded on creating a unique work of art on each of the brides, and focusing on making each of their beautiful facial features stand out, so she can look bright and perfect.

How do you accomplish to satisfy the brides? The first thing is to have direct communication with them, to listen to each and every single one of their ideas, know their personality and then work on a strategy to satisfy their expectative. When I am working on bridal makeup, I utilize oil free cosmetics that ensure stability and care of their skin. An oil free cosmetic guarantees the perfect ba-lance of natural skin oil, putting an end to the oily skin look and perspiration conflicts that can generally occur.

Which is the main restlessness issue that the brides pre-sent during the makeup process?

One of the main anxieties that the brides develop is the time that the makeup will hold and how much will it last. As a professional, I guarantee all the brides that nothing is going to happen (makeup wise) since I only use professional cos-metic products of great quality. That along with a good fea-ture correcting technique and airbrush being applied step by step, I can ensure the makeup will hold and last.

Why is it important that the bride looks stunningly per-fect? Simply because that day is the most important event of her life and she has to look beautiful and perfect so she can portray and illustrate her enormous happiness.

What is the bridal makeup tendency? When working on bridal makeup, we will focus and base our work on the bride’s personality and her own style. The most solicited makeup services are standing out eyes in di-fferent shades of colors such as maroon, black or gray. We also are often requested neutral colors with great bright-ness in shades of gold, eyelashes of extensive volume and sensual yet discreet lips.

Is there any advantage when using airbrush makeup? The airbrush tool is amazing! It leaves a layer of makeup perfectly layered, skin is completely covered and corrected

“I enjoy those previous hours before the most important mo-ment in the lifetime of any bride approaches, it is of great satisfaction the moment after finishing with the makeup, when the bride turns her head towards me and tells me: “I feel beautiful, I feel special, I feel like myself”.

with an awesome natural look and its durability surpasses the one ac-complished when using a brush and conventional makeup.

What should the bride always need to be aware of? She has to get ready a day before the wedding event. Try on the makeup that she is going to be wearing for that special occasion; that usually calms the bride down so when the wedding day is finally here, she does not have to be concerned about the makeup anymore

Could you share any tips for those brides that want to look radiant on that special occasion?Wedding planning can be one of the most stressful preparations. I would personally recommend those brides to go through a series of skin, body and hair care treatments to look even more alluring during that exceptional day. I would also counsel them to not hesitate on wea-ring airbrush makeup and its benefits, they are going to love the results.

Should I marry or shouldn't I?

A MARRIAGE REFLECTION.

Page 29: Magazine Maxwell Brides USA Ed. 09

27

Nowadays social media and society in general make us looking marriage as a heavy, bored and disposable duty; if I do okay I'll continue and if I don't I'll get a divorce. If I feel I love you I'll stay with you; if I don't feel it... NEXT, as if conjugal love was just a mood swing.

This is an insane way of thinking. It has been breaking apart our families, those who have and will be the foun-dation of our society, today so hurt but always with hope.

Many of us have attended to the best Universities and we invest time, money and effort in cultivate our inte-llect but what about to get married? How long have we prepared ourselves to accomplish in a full way with this life vocation?

We know by defining what marriage is. Marriage is the sacrament that sanctifies the indissoluble union between men and women, and gets them the grace to accomplish faithfully their duties as husbands and parents. What are the essential properties of marriage? The essential proprieties of marriage are:

Unity. It means that person can marry just one person and won't have different spouses at the same time.Indissolubility. It means that marriage is something that can't be undone. It's something that God has united and men can't disunite. Openness to fertility. It means to be open to life and pro-creation.

No one ever has said that marriage is easy, in fact, I'm pretty sure that if everyone will realize the real meaning of getting marry and the commitments that this act en-tails, a minimum number of couples will do it. This is the reason why "Sacred Institution" the one that God ele-vated to dignity of a sacrament should be carry among three: Husband+GOD+Wife. Once we are married and invite God to be an active part of our relationship, we have absolutely all the GRACES and divine aids to move the marriage forward, this is, aids that goes beyond our human capacity and guaran-tee us to live in heaven inside the marriage. It doesn't mean we will be exempt from problems, what it really means is that we'll have the wisdom and strength nee-ded in order to resolve any conflict that will face, becau-se God's light will guide us. Marriage is a call to that must be answered freely and without pressure; that is to say, no one can force you to marry. Once you've decided to take this step, you must

fulfill all the responsibilities that this life commitment entails and should become your priority. In the exact moment that you say "I do", marriage has turning into your path of sanctification.

Today, I invite you to think about these points, so you can live this holy vocation in a better way. 1) ABOUT ME:What are the real reasons why I decide to be by your side?. In consciousness, what is my biggest failure as a spouse?. What I would like to apologize to you?.

ABOUT US: What I like about you?. What I dislike most about you?. What expectations I have of you?. What I would like you to help me?. What I think you like me to help you?. What needs to be improved as a couple?.

ABOUT OUR FELLOW/ NEIGHBOR: Have we been selfish?. What have we done for others?.

ABOUT GOD: What is God’s place God in my life?. What’s God’s place in our marriage/relationship?. What is pushing us from God and what draws us closer to Him?.

Carefully and consciously responds to these questions and share with your spouse or with your fiancé (e) and together strengthen those ties to continue to grow in true love. Next time we'll talk about the conquest and the cul-ture of love, so do not miss the next edition.

Until next time! We also see in the morning show Alegre Despertar!

Fate, friendship, and perfect timing make the union of Dr. Valeska Balderas and Mr. Ryan Hayungs unique and special. The ceremony at OLS was heartfelt, genuine, and beautiful. As the couple exchanged vows, the love between the two could be felt by all in attendance.

The festivities followed at Cimarron Country Club whe-re guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres , signature drinks created by the couple, as well as the musical talents of Matthew Ray playing guitar in the background during cocktail hour. When the grand ballroom doors were opened, guests were immersed in a romantic opulence of candelabras, exquisite flower arrangements, and specialty amber lighting. The arrangements were ador-ned with hundreds of roses, hydrangeas, and hanging bushels of more flowers and pearls. Each unique detail summoned an air of elegance and romance.

The focal point of the ballroom was a 12-foot wall of flowers created specifically for the couple which served as a backdrop to the couples head table. Guests enjoyed the four course menu and then were delighted with the cake confection created by Cynthia’s Cakes. The mag-nificent wedding cake was influenced by Victorian/Edwardian designs and iced in pearl gold buttercream with pastillage sugar flowers adorning each tier. Guests danced into the evening as the band “Clueless” played. The perfect pair enjoyed their honeymoon in St Lucia the following week.

When Joseph moved to Boston for his PhD in 2011, he wasn’t looking to meet someone. In fact, he was looking forward to the bachelor life. But when he met Carolina at a party a few months later, he knew right away that she was worth holding on to. They started dating im-mediately and fell in love while supporting each other through grad school. They made a good match, each hard working and driven, but learning to sit back and relax together.

One Sunday evening, in the middle of Boston public garden, Joseph got down on one knee and proposed to Carolina. She said yes. Planning the wedding in Texas while she was doing a Masters at MIT and he a PhD at Northeastern was going to be a challenge. Doing it at Casa Mariposa was an easy decision because they helped with every detail and made sure the wedding was beautiful. All the guests – and the bride and groom – felt that the joyful, laid-back wedding was a perfect representation of Carolina and Joseph’s relationship, fo-cused on love, family and good wishes for their future together.

Love Story Carlos had been my best friend since high school. From classes together, to football games, to mo-vies on the weekends, we were inseparable. We'd have talks about never wanting to get married...Ever. That quickly changed once we started dating and became a couple.

After being best friends for many years and being to-gether as couple there was no doubt in my mind that Carlos was the one for me. I was very much interested in becoming his wife. He proposed in front of family and friends during his birthday celebration. We set the date and started planning our wedding. On October 4th I married my best friend.

On October 11, 2014 I married the man of my dreams. I was nervous at first, but once I walked down the aisle and saw him smiling back at me, all I could think of was how lucky I am to forever be Mrs. Gonzalez. We will never forget how beautiful our religious ceremony was. Although it rained shortly after, the celebration continued. They say it's a sign of good luck when it rains on your wedding day. We were fortunate to have our big day turn out better than we expected. Our wedding was beautiful and it certainly wouldn't of been without the help of many wonderful people who we both cherish and love so much. Our vendors, family, and friends made it possible to have our dream wedding.

On behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Carbajal we would like to sha-re a little about our wedding day, November 29, 2014. Like most couples we were excited and at the same time nervous because the “big day” was here. We went through our day without seeing each other and getting ready for our wedding mass and wedding reception. Once we got to mass we were very happy to see each other and felt overwhelmed that we were finally going to be married. We were also happy because all of our fa-mily and friends were able to attend our wedding mass.

After mass and now married we went off to take our wedding pictures. We were blessed to have the best in the business, Eric Sierra Photography. We enjoyed our time taking pictures with Eric Sierra. Once we got to our wedding ceremony at Corinthian Special Events,

we were amazed because there was so many people. We really had a very great time, everything was amazing, everything turned out to be great, and we didn’t have to stress about anything. We had a great time dancing and taking pictures with our guests.

The music was awesome it put on a great show and the dance floor full of people dancing. Towards the end we were very anxious to leave because we wanted to start our honeymoon, which included Bora Bora, San Fran-cisco, and Los Angeles. Overall it was a day that we will remember for the rest of our lives, the feeling we had is unexplainable, and it was just a great day. We would like to thank Maxwell Magazine for giving us the opportu-nity to share this amazing experience with all the people that are part of Maxwell Magazine.

Jackeline & Luis Alan

October 18, 2014, Jackeline Guillon and Luis Alan Matus were joined in Holy Matrimony. She wore a custom made Eve of Milady silk satin gown with hand embroidered silver thread and a cathedral length veil also embroidered with intricate detail.

Illuminated cherry blossom trees guided the way to an overjoyed groom with tears of excitement as he saw his bride walking towards him escorted by her father. The bride and groom stood below a cherry blossom canopy and chandelier that overlooked the gorgeous lakeside views during the sunset ceremony. After the “I Do’s,” the celebration continued! Cocktail hour served delicious Hors d’oeuvres and the couple’s signature cocktail! Guests also enjoyed the carefully crafted Generations Table honoring the generations of love in their families and an “Angels Among Us Table” that paid tribute to those who have passed.

Dinner was a formal affair complete with cream color embroidered linens topped with gold chargers, flatware and dazzling all white flower centerpieces surrounded by candlelight. The Wedding Cake was a five tier all white, timeless creation with exquisite detailing. Custom lighting, crystals suspended from chandeliers and adorned with fresh flowers created the perfect romantic

setting. Entertainment followed into the night with the dance floor bouncing to the beat of the City Jam band. Friends and family lighted the walkway with sparklers and well wishes for the newlyweds as they made their Grand Exit!

Our story begins in the less romantic place, we met at work in August 2011 and 1 year later we started dating and the magic began.

First a casual brunch later a romantic dinner and holding hands in the park every day always special. On October 5, 2012 we both decided to put a label to something too obvious to us we became boyfriend and girlfriend we started to meet our families and friends like a couple we started know each other better, our likes and dislikes.

In February 14, 2014 we were in our favorite restaurant “House Wine” after a delicious meal and wine we wai-ted for 40 minutes and Ricardo pulled a ring out of his pocket and I looked at him like the first time full of hope happiness and love, and I said YES.

Eight months later we were at Villa de Plamas surroun-ded by a marvelous natural scenario in a shine day with all our beloved friends and family waiting for us in a beautiful party to enjoy.

When we said “I Do” one in front of the other we knew that the heart knows what it wants and that from that moment forward its going to be the greatest adventure of our lives taking with us these verse from the Bible

1 Corinthians 13

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Three years ago, my path crossed with my future wife. Our work literally crossed paths and seemed like a quick encounter was just the first step. That same day I met her again and next thing we knew we were going out that weekend with friends. With both of us unwilling to settle for anyone, the first group outing was cautious but friendly.

Out first lunch date followed the next week. Thank God she was the clumsy one and spilled her water. That place is our favorite Chinese restaurant to this day. We then had a very romantic movie date, Contagion, great movie but completely not romantic at all! Our goofy clumsy antics set the stage to be ‘That’ couple, always holding hands, the silly “I love you more” lines, and cheesy pet names.

It was more than meant to be, more than my future wife was out there somewhere, more than finding the one to complete me. It was definitely God’s plans and timing. Our wedding reflected our own philosophy. We love our friends and family, and we love having a good time. We had such a good time and it was a silly, goofy, sweet, funny, romantic dream wedding all put together.

People don’t believe me when I say Jeremy was the one that planned most of the wedding. I wish I could tell you I was the type of bride who thought of every little thing, but I wasn’t. My idea of a wedding was eloping. Say our “I-do’s” and Voila, we are done and off to the honeymoon.

No serious planning, avoid the crowds and save some pennies. I was quickly brought down from my cloud when I realized Mexican families liked their weddings big. To all comparisons, our wedding wasn’t regarded as a big one, but Jeremy took it upon himself to make sure every little detail reflected the “intimate” soiree I had envisioned to be my wedding.

The minute little details that at one point or another pas-sed through my mind as pointless were part of this or-chestrated event that Jeremy had set up so that I would

be comfortable on our special day. Every little decoration had been through his hands and carefully thought out. Most of the decorations held a special meaning to us, and symbol of some sort. Jeremy wanted our wedding to have a remembrance effect. To us, our wedding reflec-ted who we are and that’s what weddings should be, a reflection of who you are as a couple. Looking back at it, I’m so glad Jeremy worked so hard at giving me a beautiful wedding day full of friends and family even if I didn’t know that I wanted it.

Erika & Chad

On December 2012, Erika and Chad met at Pistacia Vera (a french pastry and coffe shop in German Village) for their first date. After a good conversation over brunch, Chad walked Erika to her car to end the perfect first date. While Erika was driving home, she received a text (5 minutes to be exact) from Chad asking for a second date! She knew this was the start of something special...and she was right!

Chad and I talked about marriage and knew without a shadow of a doubt we were going to get married, we even spent a Saturday afternoon looking at rings! It really only came down to the guessing game of when was he going to pop the question. I thought the question was coming over Christmas time down in Texas, with my family and friends. However to my surprise, Chad had a trip planned in November to the cabins of Hocking Hills. On Saturday morning we went hiking at Old Man's Cave and hiked for over 3 hours! As we were preparing to leave the caves, Chad took me to the gorgeous water falls to take a rest. While enjoying the sounds of the falls, Chad grabbed my hand and got down on one knee and popped the question!

He couldn't get out all the words when I said YES.

As we kissed we were cheered by the local hikers. It was a moment neither of us will ever forget.

Toni & Edgar

Our love story begins on a beautiful spring night at Hillbilly’s, in 2009. Toni was hanging out with her sister and colleagues when I first saw her. I remember it was her smile and eyes that captivated and motivated me to ask her to dance. Before the night ended, I made sure I had exchanged numbers with Toni; however to my surprise, Toni would never answer my calls, texts, or facebook

We d d i n g s

messages. Soon, I found out Toni was working on her master’s degree and was not looking for any distractions. As the years went by, I once again saw Toni at Hillbilly’s in 2013, and from there after, we found ourselves dancing together every Saturday night. We fell in love instantly and we became inseparable within months. I loved that Toni was so down to earth with a great sense of humor; and I knew she was the girl of my dreams, the girl I had been praying for. So I planned a romantic proposal at my brother’s house and got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. Without hesitating, Toni said, “YES!”

Soon after, we started planning our wedding and getting all the preparations ready for the big day in October 3rd, 2014. We were both literally counting the days for that day; we could not wait to be husband and wife. The day soon arrived and we were both ready. That day, was also my birthday, and Toni would be my gift sent by God. The first thing I did that morning was sent her a text message to express my happiness to her. I remember when I first saw her walking down the aisle next to her father. That moment was breathtaking; she looked amazing… so beautiful that by the time I knew it, I was in tears.

The ceremony was a celebration full of joy, since we had the opportunity to exchange vows embracing Christ as our partner and receiving the blessings of our parents, family, and close friends. Then it was followed by the reception where we danced, ate, drank, and had a great time. One of my favorite moments of the wedding was dancing “our first dance” as husband and wife to “Keeper of the Stars” by Tracy Byrd. That moment was magical. I forgot about our guests and enjoyed those 4 minutes dancing and spinning around my best friend. By the time we knew it, the hall was so packed that guests were standing up…everything turned out better than expected. The after party took place at Toni’s parents’ house where we ate tamales, menudo, borrego, marrano, and drank until the following morning. People say “IT WAS THE WEDDING OF THE YEAR!”

We are now going on 2 months married, and we continue loving each other daily, going to church on Sunday, and spending time together by enjoying movies and dancing at Hillbilly’s. We feel blessed to have each other and we are anxiously looking forward to spending the rest of our lives as husband and wife.

Elisa & Julio

E n g a g e m e n t

How our couple came to be engaged is a story that has been shared with many and now glad to share with ya'll. It was a night like any other when our bride and groom had a debate over who loved the other more. Julio claimed he could list a 100 reasons why he loved Elisa, but refused to list them off all at once.

The following day as Elisa was ready to drive off for school with a big test in mind, she found a note on her windshield that read "reason 100- I love waking up next to you ps. good luck on your test". What started off as silly debate had now become a countdown to the day when Julio would ask Elisa for her hand in marriage. The date was July 7, 2013 and 99 days had passed.

The couple went on what seemed like a regular Friday night date to the Oasis in Austin, TX and it was there that Elisa would be in for the surprise of her life. As many of you know Elisa is not shy to taking a picture, so when the couple took a walk after dinner and came across a bronze statue of a horse Julio asked Elisa to hop on for a photo. He knew the moment had arrived. He gave Elisa a card that read "I Love Us" and when she opened it up inside he had written "Reason #1 - I love that you make "us" not you and me. Will you be us with me?" When Elisa looked down, there on one knee was Julio holding a ring.

To this day the two can't remember what was said, but they knew it was a yes. Now they look to continue their story together as one.

It was December 25th of 2010 when I was at my cousin’s house celebrating Christmas day, and all of the sudden one of my cousins decided to call of his girl friends to come and join us. As soon as they entered the gate, I saw Karina by far and I was impressed by her black radiant hair, while she keep approaching me I looked into her eyes and there it was, I saw how beautiful her soul and spirit was.

I have always said to my self that when you meet so-meone who is spiritually healthy, you’re immediately drawn to that person, as we introduce to each other, I felt good just by being around her I sensed that she was a magnet for happiness, freedom and generosity, and she had the ability to enjoy the present moment. At first she

was a little shy but I was able to make her feel comfor-table, after a while of talking about how they ended up going to my cousins house, she was ready to give me her phone number.

We started talking everyday, and after a few months I asked if she wanted to be my girlfriend and she instantly said yes with a big smile. After a few months later after of all that I have said I still needed some change within me, my ego part kept telling me to break up with her, and keep looking for some other girl out there. There was a couple of times that we broke up because of my insecurities. But at the end of the day I realize that Kari-na came into my life unexpectedly, and everything took

a turn for the better. Her warm eyes, her laugh, and the sincere way she speaks to me and the kindness she has showed me, all became a part of my life. As she keeps unfolding herself to me, I have discovered more and more beauty. I have never seen so much gentleness in one person. Without even knowing it, you have slowly make a place for yourself in my heart.

It used to seem so hard at times to feel so close in a relationship. But its so easy to feel close to you. I cant tell you how much nice that feels. I realize now that I had never known what it meant to be loved until I was loved by you.

When you first meet Lisa and Josh, it's impossible not to see their love for each other. They speak to each other with the ease and comfort of lifelong partners and their ability to keep each other smiling and laughing is something to be admired. What struck Lisa most about Josh when they first met was his approach. Unlike most guys she encountered, he was sweet but not shy, self assured but not cocky; he was a perfect Colombian gentleman. There was an undeniable attraction from the start: her to his sweet, charming manners, and him to her spontaneous, vivacious personality which only added to her physical beauty. Still Josh had yet to pass the ultimate test: to gain the approval of Lisa's teenage daughter Shelby. From the moment they met, Josh welcomed Shelby with the love and tenderness of a father to his child and Shelby adores him for it. To this day, three years later, Lisa is still filled with such joy and pride at the kindness and utmost respect he shows for her and Shelby. The love that Josh and Lisa share is only heightened by their mutual love of her daughter and that is the true foundation of their unshakeable devotion. In each other, they found a soulmate. With Shelby, at last they found a perfect family.

Desserts

In Postrecitos by Myrna we offer to our customers deli-cious and beautifully decorated dessert and candy bu-ffets prepared with the best quality ingredients and put very special detail on decorating every single dessert. we make sure everything is done on time. so they can make their guests feelhow special they are.

Taking inspiration from everywhere I've been, I started this project of baking mini desserts in September 2010 in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas. A few months later, a customer asked me if I would set up a mini dessert buffet for her wedding, and I loved the challenge!

After that I realized that I was loving baking all those miniatures and decided to focus my business on mini desserts bar. We started with a few varieties, and overti-me I kept adding new desserts, and today we offer over 40 different kinds of cupcakes and desserts!

"I love to speak with brides and enjoy the illusion in his face and emotion see our delicious desserts at your wedding".

I always try to get new recipes however for me there are several factors that we always care. I listen to my custo-mers to find out their preferences on flavors, colors and style. Then we make a proposal for their dessert table and I always make sure that all is done on time.

We are specialists to offer a little bit of everything on each dessert buffet. Some cupcakes, some cheesecake, something fruity, some creamy desserts, something crunchy and something chocolate, or if you decide to offer a combination with salty food we have to have some kind of chips, some nuts, and something spicy we have all for that special day.

“We are wedding photographers and videographers. Our main purpose is to re-live that day and feelings whether its a tear of happiness or laughter you need to be able to see that photo or video on the days to come and still feel as if it happened yesterday.

MIGUEL.We met on July 14th 2002, I was just leaving college to celebrate a friend’s birthday at his house, it was more of a family reunion. When we get to the party we were already sitting down to start eating when she arrived with her parents, I hadn’t seen her since a was looking the other way, but once she said hello I just got hooked, she had taken with her a collection of music Cd’s that also caught my attention, a book filled with Rock music like Metallica, Slipknot, Korn, etc. all the type of music a liked but hadn’t really met any body who shared tho-se interests. What I also noticed is that she had gone to that party a little upset, later on I knew that she wasn’t planning on going, she was supposed to go on a trip to Can Cun but her parents didn’t let her, 12 years later I still thank his father for that.

At the very next day still with her face in my head, I as-ked my friend to take me with her I had to see her once more, he laughed and thought I was kidding since by that time I was a very shy person, at the end he knew I wasn’t kidding so he picked up the phone and called her, she told him she was working at the time at her family’s business “El Angel Invitaciones” so I gathered some courage I decided to go and see her, at the moment we got there she was the one who opened the door, after a while I asked her out to the movies not knowing what she was going to say since I was a complete stranger and had only seen her once, for me it was kind of obvious she was probably going to decline, but once she said that wonderful word I got really exited she said YES.

The first date, after a couple of years I realized I was dressed kind of dorky since I was wearing a Spiderman shirt, if you think its funny well it kind of is, but I also remember she was wearing a brown blouse with some horses, I can still remember her when she got out of the house, I still can not believe it. We went out to have din-

ner and afterwards to the movies, the movie we went to see was “We were soldiers” by the time we went to see it we had no idea what was it about, but we still went in, by the first 15 minutes of the movie we both realized it wasn’t a very good movie, so instead we started to talk and by some weird reason we started looking at the cei-ling and as often as I could I would look at her.

By the second time we went to the movies a very unusual thing happened, I crossed my arms and we started to caress the tip of our fingers, close to holding our hands, with out any body to notice. On our third date we were at her house and when I was about to leave, she told me one of the weirdest things anybody could tell me, “You talk too much”, this for some one who knows me would know I’m some one of very little words, what I realize is that I must have been really nervous, at that time she had a plan all along, she kissed me!! It was in fact a great plan, but unfortunately didn’t work, as I got even more nervous I started to talk even more.

At the very next day I asked her to be my girlfriend, which I thought was going to be a very straight forward answer for what had happened the previous night, but she still had her pride and audacity to say “I’ll think about it”. So I left her house, by that time my parents were out of town so I was staying at a friends house for the night, when I get the-re after a few hours of being with Anette, she calls me out of the blue and jus says “YES” no hello or nothing, so my immediate answer was “Yes, what?” I know now I laugh about it too, after that she answer “forget it”, then my brain started to work again and I answer “Oh!! Really?” I was so excited that night I literally couldn’t let my fried have any sleep that night.

ANETTE.From then on we were inseparable, his friends used to get really jealous because he would go every day to see me, step by step he was being a part of my life and part of my family as well, it was really easy and natural that I hardly even noticed it happen, by the time I realized we were already going on family trips, being at home all days eating, seeing movies, helping my sister with her math homework or my mom with her computer, dis-cussing with my father about macs vs windows, he was getting not only in to my heart but my family as well, by the time I noticed it I had already fallen in love with him.We had been dating for some years and the only thing that separated us was our jobs, by that point I was a Law student and had been working for a very important law firm in Tamaulipas, and he was an architect, both of us with a very satisfying success for our short age, what started to keep us more and more together was at the time a small project named “Ambar” my mother saw our vocation and gave us the last push we needed in this business we had already started I took photos and Miguel the video, so we decided to go even deeper, sin-ce most of my familyis from Chihuahua, we went the-re to study and prepare our selves better Miguel with cinematography and me with photography, later on it was my mothers idea to change the name in to Anette Miguel, specially because a lot of people thought I was “Ambar”.

After a few years I got my law degree and Miguel was already working for a lot of construction companies in the Valley, how ever we knew if we dedicated more time and effort to photo and video we would be more time together, for our luck the people who liked our style, a mix of photo journalism and relaxed and fun poses where they could be them selves and tell their story with no pressure, the business started to demand more time which was great since we are more and more tie together, until photo and video was our full time job, by that time my law practice and his architectural designs and constructions turned in to our hobbies, which we have not stopped doing but now its more for our likes and special occasions.

Miguel proposed in a very casual way, just while we were just talking around, at the moment I didn’t believe him, so one day we went to visit a furniture store where he asked me “Do you like that sofa?” to what I answered “Yes” and he replies “Do you want to buy it?” and I said “what for?” and he said all calmly “So we can take the dinning set and the sofa together” from there I thought this was serious, but I didn’t scare easily, I thought nothing was going to happen until the next 5 years or so, then he grabbed his credit card, my eyes opened up

like plates, nut I decided to go with his joke and I let him buy them.

After a few weeks he gave me as a gift a collection case of chocolates from Godiva, I had been waiting for them since I collected them every season, and inside hanging from a string there was the engagement ring, but Miguel has always been very perfectionist and I knew he could do better, so I said “NO” I laughed, put the ring on and left. Afterwards we continued with the wedding plans. After a while I had noticed his hands were very dry and damaged, he hadn’t been sleeping well I could notice. One day out of the blue he asked me to go and pick him up from his house, he had already made breakfast and when we finished he grabbed the guitar and played 2 songs for me Michael Buble’s “everything” and Train’s “Marry me” and again asked me to marry him, to what I said with tears in my eyes “YES”, this was the reason for his change in routine he’d go to work in the morning visit me in the afternoon, and practice at his house at night so I wouldn’t notice, since he had not played the guitar in years.

In December 15, 2012 we exchanged our wedding vows, we had an amazing party and had fun all night long. Our smiles were so big that even while the ceremony I don’t know why the priest didn’t say anything about it, after a few months we had to take our own wedding pictures, something that was really out of the ordinary.
