Snyder Village Annual BenefitThe Snyder Village 23rd Annual Benefit – Breakfast & Auction will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2016. In 2015, the Benefit raised over $66,000 to support and improve the care of the residents of Snyder Village.
For 2016, 100% of the proceeds will be placed into the Resident In Need Fund which provides continued care for those who have exhausted their personal resources. Here is the schedule for this year’s event:
Thursday, Sept. 15• Ice Cream Social Dinner, 6:00-8:00 p.m., food and drinks available for purchase, plus Bingo• Auction Preview & Silent Auction, bidding begins 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 17
• Pancake & Sausage Breakfast, 6:00-9:30 a.m., all- you-can-eat for a freewill donation• Village Market, 6:00 a.m. until after auction closes• Silent Auction, bidding ends at 10:00 a.m.• Lucky Card Drawing, 10:15 a.m.• LIVE Auction, “Welcome” at 10:00 a.m., bidding begins at 10:30 a.m.

Community Prayer BreakfastThe Germantown Hills Chamber of Commerce and Metamora Area Business Association will host the annual Community Prayer Breakfast on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. at the Metamora Fields Golf Club.
Businesses and residents are invited to come together to enjoy this community gathering and buffet breakfast. Tickets are $20 each or tables of eight for $160.00 and can be purchased in advance at the Heartland Bank branches in Germantown Hills and Metamora. Tickets must be purchased by Friday, September 30th.
The featured Keynote speaker will be Darin LaHood, United States Representative for Illinois’s 18th congressional district.
The Kramer family is back this year to perform beautiful patriotic and inspirational songs.
New to the breakfast this year will be a singing performance by our community’s own Metamora High School Madrigal singers!
Pork Chop FryThe Metamora Knights of Columbus Pork Chop Cookout will be held at Metamora IGA on Friday, September 30th from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. , and on Saturday, October 1st from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Enjoy a grilled butterfly porkchop sandwich, chips, and drink for $5. Proceeds to benefit local charities.
Membership EventJunior Woman’s Club Extends an invitation to their Membership Event!
Have you ever wondered who sets up the Avenue of Flags in Metamora, runs Breakfast with Santa, and brought local recycling to our community? The GFWC Illinois Metamora-Germantown Hills Junior Woman’s club has performed these services and provided these programs, plus many more.
Come to the GFWC Illinois Metamora-Germantown Hills Junior Woman’s Club Membership Event on Monday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. at the Coventry Farm Club House in Germantown Hills. Guests are invited to arrive at 6:30 p.m., casually dressed, where refreshments will be provided. Meet current members and find out more about the club!

Meet Your Heroes The Metamora Area Business Association and the Metamora Fire Department is holding its 9th annual Meet Your Heroes event on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the town square
in Metamora.
Pay tribute to our local first r e s p o n d e r s , Military, and to all those lost on and
in the fight since 9/11.
The day kicks off with the Metamora Marching Band and American Legion and includes:
• Grilled Pork Chop sandwiches, hot dogs, pork and beans, chips and drink.
• Professional and non-professional Hose Fight competitions! FREE entry for all.
• Inflatable slides and bouncy houses for the kids.
• Meet the fire fighters and let the kids get inside the fire truck!
• Live Music
