Total Film is a UK-based film magazine which is published 13 times a year by Future Publishing. It was first launched in 1997 offering various information that a magazine would offer such as cinema, DVD and Blu-ray news, reviews and features. Totalfilm also have a very strong online presence with their website and forum, as well as pages on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. There is also a Total Film iPhone app. They have a mainstream audience as well.

Filmmaker is a quarterly publication magazine covering issues relating to independent film. This magazine was founded in 1992 by Karol Martesko-Fenster, Scott Macaulay and Holly Willis. With more than 60,0000 people reading this magazine, it includes a range of things for them such as interviews, case studies, financing , distribution information and many more. The magazine is strictly only sold in the US however before 2009, it used to be on sale in the UK as well.

STUDIO is the UK’s first film magazine for women. Their target audience is strictly aimed at the female market however many people will still read this magazine anyway. This magazine focuses on successful women in the film industry and all the films they will be in and also things about these women as well. This magazine is packed with witty editorial and Hollywood news, plus all the latest movie reviews. Being aimed at women and entertainment enthusiasts is a good thing for STUDIO magazine because this means that they will receive a lot of purchases on their magazine.

SFX is a British magazine covering the topics of science fiction and fantasy. Their first issue was in 1995. Due to its specification in genre, of science fiction, fantasy and horror, this magazine is aimed at a specific demographic of people. SFX magazine is published every four weeks by Future plc.
