All rights reserved Announcements & Reports MAJOR CHANGES IN OFFICERS OF THE JAPANESE SOCIETY OF CHILD NEUROLOGY At the 35th General Assembly of the Japanese Society of Child Neurology, held in Kyoto, from June 17 19, 1993, a major change in officers was approved to take place. Three members of the Board of Trustees retired from the position based upon an interim rule of a retiring age of 65 years old, and a fourth resigned for personal reasons. The retired board members were Dr Yukio Fukuyama (Tokyo), Dr Satoru Matsumoto (Kobe) and Dr Masamiehi Nagahata (Shizuoka). Dr Keiya Tada (Sendal) resigned All four members here mentioned were nominated and approved as new honorary members To fill the vacant positions, the following five people were elected as new members of the Board of Trustees: Dr Kazuie linuma (Associate Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Toboku University School of Medicine, Sendal) Dr Komei Kumagai (Chief, Division of Child Neurology, Kanagawa Rehabilitation Center Hospital, Atsugi) Dr Kiyoshi Sato (Professor, Department of Neurosurgery, Juntendo University School of Medicine, Tokyo) Dr Ikuya Nonaka (Chief, Department of Central Laboratory, Na- tional Musashi Hospital, National Center of Neurology and Psychia- try, Kodaira) Dr Tadashi Miyatake (Professor, Department of Neurology, Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Tokyo) Dr Y Fukuyama finished his chairmanship of the Board of Trustees which had lasted for 25 years since 1968. To replace him, Dr Shigehi- ko Kamoshita (Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Tokyo) was elected as the new Board chairman, with the unanimous agreement of all Board members. Dr Toshiaki Abe (Professor of Pediatrics, Teikyo University School of Medicine, Tokyo) was appointed as a new auditor. MAJOR CHANGES IN OFFICERS OF THE JAPANESE SOCIETY OF CHILD NEUROLOGY

At the 35th General Assembly of the Japanese Society of Child Neurology, held in Kyoto, from June 17 19, 1993, a major change in officers was approved to take place.

Three members of the Board of Trustees retired from the position based upon an interim rule of a retiring age of 65 years old, and a fourth resigned for personal reasons.
