NICKLAUS DESIGN GOLF GREENSAs the indisputable leader of synthetic turf installation technology and world-class golf course design, we have perfected a process that enhances the level of play, as well as the aesthetics of the green itself.

In partnership with Nicklaus design we have created an integrated design process using a CAD platform and library of Nicklaus green designs ranging from 500 square feet to 5000 square feet. Our trained Southwest Greens designers can customize a green to match your needs using the illustrious design principles and templates of Nicklaus Design. GOLF COURSESGolf courses are the fastest growing segment of the Southwest Greens product line. CHAMPIONSHIP PUTTING COURSESSouthwest Greens custom designs and builds putting courses for residential and high-end commercial resorts, including the Westin Regina in Los Cabo, Mexico and the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida. We also build and design mini-golf courses including our spectacular Carnival Cruise line installation that floats the high seas.

GOLF TEE LINES AND DRIVING RANGESMaintaining natural tee lines and tee boxes for golf courses and driving ranges can be difficult and costly due to the frequent use of these areas. Southwest Greens tee line systems provide maximum durability while maintaining the natural look of the tee-all, at a fraction of the maintenance cost associated with natural tee lines. Mats used in most practice facilities and driving ranges use rubbertees that do not provide the feel of a natural tee. Our systems allow players to place regular tees directly into the hitting surface, offering a truer feel when making contact with the ball.

GOLDEN BEAR TURFThe Southwest Greens and Nicklaus Design partnership began in 2004 and has evolved considerably over the years to include an exclusive, premium synthetic turf product bearing the Nicklaus nickname, Golden Bear. Golden Bear is our premium grade synthetic turf that has the look, feel and bite of natural grass. It’s simply the most authentic playing surface available on the market today. In fact many PGA Tour professionals practice their short game on our golf greens. Why? Because they perform like natural grass, accepting shots from any distance and true rolls when putted.

This integrated design process has brought together two companies to efficiently distribute Nicklaus Design specifications on a CAD platform to the benefit of all Southwest Greens franchisees.

Custom features can be incorporated into the green or grass design specification using our CAD program. Precise dimension, slope, elevation, contour and area data is laid out for discerning customers to review their green design prior to installation. Southwest Greens professional installers will then build your green to the design specification, ensuring the unpromising quality of the Golden Bear brand.
