• Provides smooth and clear navigation for sites

• White space between text, columns, images and margins offer a page clarity

• White space serves as a buffer that lets users decipher where content is and how to distinguish elements

Starbucks• Areas taken out

of focus serve as a form of white space, as the in-focus areas draw the eye to what Starbucks want the user to see

• Google is a major proponent of white space

• Colors and text are set up to distinguish elements with clean margins everywhere

• The people behind this design have shown great restraint to great results

• They could have easily used larger text, wider margins or different fonts
