Style guide created for Mamadou's Artisan Bakery as part of an independent study project.TRANSCRIPT
Mamadou’s Artisan Bakery is a small, simple, and delicious bakery in Winchester, Massachusetts. It’s owner, Mamadou Mbaye, crafts incredible, traditional American, French, and Italian breads.
The current branding does not adequately reflect Mamadou’s quality and personality.
The new designs focus on simplified, consistent type, and on the owner’s Senegalese background, setting it apart from other New England bakeries.

LOGO DESIGN
Many of the ideas for the Mamadou logo integrated the “M” from Mamadou with a bread symbol. The final mark was created with gouache, to establish a rustic and handmade feel suitable for the bakery.

The logo and location for Mamadou are set in Bonveno CF. Any additional text for website and printed material is set in Colaborate-Medium, Colaborate-Regular, and Colaborate-Thin. Bonveno CF should be used for all title headings.
BADGES
Badges were designed as labels and stickers for packaging and wrapping parchment paper.
PATTERNS
A variety of patterns were created for the parchment paper used to wrap baked goods. Patterns can also be applied to other merchandise, and to the company’s stationery.
