The Botany Module • Labguru’s  botany  module  is  comprised  of  a  3-­‐8er  management  system:  Seeds  >  Plants  >  Crosses  • You  can  sow  seeds,  harvest  a  plant,  collect  seeds  and  make  crosses.  Whatever  you  do,  Labguru  let’s  you  track  all  your  work  in  one  place  • Plan  experiments  and  receive  no8fica8ons  for  maintenance  tasks  and  treatments  for  individual  seeds  andplants    *  The  botany  module  nests  under  the  specimen  tab.  If  missing,  turn  it  on  via  SeKngs  >  Specimen  >  check  mark  √  next  to  Botany  >    Save

Seeds – Add New

Easily add your seeds in three ways: 1. Import your entire list

2. Add from our product directory 3. Manually – one by one

Import Your Entire Collection It is important to keep our dedicated template intact (don’t change column headers or column order)"

Follow the 3 simple steps to import your entire collection: Download our template > Fill it in and save > Upload

Note: If you want to add customized fields, first click your account

name at the upper header and select settings > Specimen > Botany (Customize seeds). Then, download the import template.

It will include the customized fields you added.

botany module

Enter the field name and click here to

add it to your module’s fields

Here you can view both default and your custom fields. You may delete "custom fields if never used for any of your samples (click on ‘X’ to delete)

the fields will be presented in the index table by dragging and

dropping

For quick access, mark the fields you want to appear in your index table

then hit the ‘update’ button

Search for a Seed

Quickly search and find throughout the botany module, using our search tools: 1. Search by seed name 2. Use the advanced search to quickly narrow down results by using multiple search terms

Bulk tag or delete your seeds: Choose the seeds and click on

the desired action

To create crosses, first select female seeds, then click on

“Cross seeds” and choose the male seeds. Click on “Add

cross” to finish

All tubes related to a cell line appear in one place. You can view their details, edit and delete them as needed. You may also archive a consumed tube – by doing so, while the

tube no longer be associated with a box, its info and history will be preserved.
