Business Impact Business Challenges The client is a leading athletic apparel retailer and they use various technologies and platforms to address all of their reporting needs. They wanted to streamline their current setup and sought a partner to manage stakeholder queries related to all published reports and to manage their BI reporting platforms and also to integrate their current BI stack. They also wanted to integrate all of their data source systems. A 24/7 support requirement was needed in order to provide support for their operations globally. Approach Considering the complexity of the existing BI stack and multiple vendor involvement compounded with the dynamic nature of support volumes, Course5 suggested a core and flex management model which provided the client with the necessary flexibility to manage the seasonal nature of their business.

ApproachConsidering the complexity of the existing BI stack and multiple

vendor involvement compounded with the dynamic nature of

support volumes, Course5 suggested a core and �ex management

model which provided the client with the necessary �exibility to

manage the seasonal nature of their business.

Course5i, in a matter of 3 months were able to streamline their current set-up and automate a major portion of the

published reports thus saving nearly 20% of their current bandwidth for the same tasks.

All of their backend systems for stores, inventory management and ecommerce were integrated within 8 months and

they were able to realise even greater savings in terms of timeliness of reports.

Query / Issue Resolution time went down from earlier 8 – 10 days to 3 – 4 days on an average thus reducing noise

levels.

Optimised operations and reduced resource cost by 8% and improved uptime by 11%.

Stakeholder satisfaction scores went up from 76% (top 2 boxes) to 89%.

Onsite and O�shore Core Team was set up to handle all day-to-day 24/7 support activities and scheduled client deliverables.

In case of larger / sudden requirement that exceeded the core team capacity, on demand resources were immediately moved from the O�shore Flex Team to the Core team to accomplish the work

An extended team was set up to manage project speci�c work.This team consisted of members with expertise across various toolsand technologies who brought to the fore their knowledge andexperience of di�erent tools / platforms.

A COE team was set up to assist the client at each step of the implementation /decision making processes and provide the necessary guidance.

KM (Knowledge Management) team worked at the back-end in conjunction with the operations leads to assist in conducting training programs planned towards scheduled resource ramp-up and deployment on new platforms.

Governance Lead worked with the teams to ensure best business practices were followed and assisted in streamlining the entire process according to best practices and worked on process re-engineering.
