Categories are called “Lists” in Wunderlist. To set up your task categories (Lists), simply click on “Add a list.”

Type list name and repeat until all 7 categories (lists) are created, in the following order: Projects, Next Actions, Talk To, Waiting For, Future Someday/Maybe, Home. If you create them in the wrong order, simply drag them into the correct order.

Sort by Due Date

To add a new task, simply highlight (click) the appropriate list, and then type the subject of the task in the field at the top that reads, “Add an item in “XX List.”

To add a due date and a reminder, click on the calendar icon to the far right, and then highlight (click) the “Due Date” or “Reminder” tab as applicable. A chime will sound and a box will appear on the screen if the app is open on your desktop. You can program your device to receive push notifications of reminders.

For each category (List), click on the “AZ” icon at the bottom of the screen to sort by Due Date.

www.regainyourtime.com/mail-to-wunderlist

If site is already open, wait a minute after you send the email, and then refresh the page. Drag the task from the “inbox” list to the appropriate list (usually Next Actions).

Double-click on the task to edit as appropriate: change the subject to the specific action that needs to be taken, set the due date, set a reminder if necessary, and edit the “note” as appropriate.
