For over half a century, Higginson has manufactured NFPA tie rod style cylinders that are renowned for their long life in severe applications. We offer both Air and Hydraulic service in bore sizes from 1-1/2” to 12”, in all common mounts. Higginson can design or reverse engineer custom cylinders, and we maintain an extensive inventory with fast delivery for standard catalogue sizes.

Higginson is a distributor of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Specialty components. Some of the quality lines we represent are Deublin rotating unions, Gusher pumps, Linemaster foot switches, Aldon railway

equipment, SMC air preparation, and many more.

EconoMax Air CylindersHigginson manufactures the EconoMax Series of cylinders for the Truck and Trailer industry. This cylinder is corrosion resistant, and is available in rear clevis mount for bore sizes 2-1/2” to 8”. We stock EconoMax cylinders in all common sizes used on dump truck tailgate latches, tarp pulls and belly dumps.

Amtec Hydraclamp Our family of companies includes Amtec Hydraclamp Pressure Controlled Pre-tensioning and Clamping products.

WarrantyTo achieve our high quality standards, all Higginson parts are designed using Solid Modeling and the latest CNC machines within a Kanban production framework. In addition, we have adopted the Lean Six Sigma quality control methodology.

Every cylinder is 100% tested by either compressed air or hydraulic pressure before it passes inspection prior to shipment.
