NEW HOPE CHRISTIAN CHURCH
GOOD NEWS!
NURTURE, SERVE, CONNECT
March 15,
2019
“Father, I pray that my joy might be in them, and that their joy might be complete.”
-John 15:11
Truly, God wants your life to bloom and grow like a flower in spring. He wants the seed of faith to sprout forth strong roots in your life. He wants people to be happy. On the night before Jesus died, Jesus prayed these words that were recorded by John. That is a remarkable thing! In the face of his own cruel death, Jesus prayed for your hap-piness, your joy!
Do you dare to believe that God wants you to have abundant life. Trust God con-fidently. Be a happy Christian, and be a conscientious steward of your life. God’s gift to you, is you. What you do with that gift is your gift back to God and to others.
God calls us each to a happy, consecrated life of worship and service. Let your soul blossom in growth through worship during this Lenten season. This Sunday you will be blessed by the music of the Church and enriched by worship with others who gather in the name of Jesus.
LET US EXULT HIS NAME TOGETHER!
March 17th has historically been designated as Saint Patrick's Day. Saint Patrick was the pa-tron Saint of Ireland. Since Saint Patty’s day falls on Sunday the Connect Team and Nurture Team thought that it would be fun for everyone to be a little “Irish” on Sunday. So, GET YOUR GREEN ON! Wear something green … pick up a four leaf clover. Maybe you will learn a little bit about this annual historical event and how it came about. Mark the date of March 17th on your personal calendar. Ap-propriate refreshments will be served following Worship.
As we prepare for the Easter season before us Rev. Chambers will be offering the annual spring “Pastor’s Class”. The dates are April 13th and 20th at 9:00AM. The Classes are designed to reflect the heritage of the Christian Faith, the Doctrines of Confession, Baptism, and Communion, and what it means to become a member of the Body of Christ. For those young people interested in participation in the Pas-tor’s Class, please call the church office to reserve your place in the class. 405-691-5366 or email Rev. Chambers, newhopeminister@ att.net

Now that winter is almost behind us and spring is fast approaching, we are planning to get out
and enjoy some special activities. Sunday, March 24 will be an exciting day for New Hope Kids. After church we plan to have a group lunch together and then go to the Science Muse-
um of Oklahoma where we will spend time en-joying the exhibits. Later that afternoon, we have been invited to Bradford Village Retire-ment Community in Edmond to bring a mes-sage. We plan to share a Children's Moment
message with them and provide special music. There is nothing like having an afternoon of fun and then bringing a message of God's amazing love for us all the while conducting a little com-munity service. God is so good!
Don’t forget there is Sunday School every Sunday morning at 9:30a.m.
