It’s been a fun and busy month so far, we had our final official District Gov- ernor’s Advisory Meeng last Friday night, (beer known as Zone Meeng) what a great turn out, about 38 people showed up for food, fun and informaon! I want to thank the McDermo’s for a great program on Public Relaons in Lions it was very informave. I want to thank Silverdale Sunrise Lions and Harold and Nancy for hosng this event. And last but not least I want to congratulate Bremerton Central’s own Jim Lamb for stepping up and becoming our Zone Chair for 2016-2017. This man not just nice, he has quite a resume! Jim has been in Lions for 39 years, he has served in every office of his club, he is presently the secre- tary of his club for the third year, Lion of the year twice, a Melvin Jones Fellow, sponsored 18 members into Lionism, the list goes on and on. Lion Jim Lamb you are all this and more. And to top it off, just a really nice guy! Thank you so much for stepping up, with your experience and Lion enthu- siasm we are very blessed to have you. So how many of you are going to the District C Convenon April 1&2? If you haven’t thought about it please do, it’s a lot of fun and we have great speakers this year. Go to District C website for details and an applicaon. Red Lion room reservaons deadline is March 15th and registraon cut off for meals is March 24th. Hello Zone C-4 Lions! 1.Pending approval of the Poggie Club Executive Board, the North Mason Lions will be doing vision screening the morning of 23 April at the Poggie Club’s Kids Fishing day at Jarstead Park, just outside of downtown Gorst. We are also looking for three to four folks to help the blind and veterans from Retsil do fishing from 2:00 pm to 3:30 that same day. If you can help, please drop a line to Roland Arper @ [email protected].

2. The Kitsap Lions Low Vision Support Group annual election meeting will be held

on April 5th at Denny’s restaurant on Kitsap Way, starting at 6:00PM. Please have

a representative from your club at this important meeting. We need you!

Spring Convention: Friday, April 1st and Saturday, April 2nd

Don’t forget to register for rooms and meals before the cutoff date!! C’mon

everyone! Food and shelter are a necessity!
