an appeal for four Catholic agencies who serve the poor
and those living on the edge of society all over the world.
This collection includes Catholic Relief Services, the
Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Peter’s
Pence, and the Pastoral Solidarity Fund for the Church in
Africa. In this collection you have a choice to contribute to
any one or all four funds, by designating an amount for
each. Envelopes are located in the pews.

Missa de Angelis Our monthly Missa de Angelis Mass is coming up! For
Lent, we will be singing the Kyrie rather than the Gloria.
The Kyrie is beautiful, and truly a Song of the Angels. In
order to hear what it sounds like before Mass, you may be
interested in listening on YouTube. You may hear the
entire Missa de Angelis at the following YouTube links.

Marian Antiphons After Mass What is that the Schola is singing after Mass? Did you
ever wonder? Each time one of our Cathedral Schola
Choirs sing, we offer a traditional Antiphon or Hymn to
Our Lady. Our parish has such a strong devotion to Our
Blessed Mother! Here is another way we honor her!
During Lent we sing: Ave Regina Caelorum…
Ave, Regina Caelorum,
Ave, Domina Angelorum:
Salve, radix, salve, porta
Ex qua mundo lux est orta:
Gaude, Virgo gloriosa,
Super omnes speciosa,
Vale, o valde decora,
Et pro nobis Christum exora.
Hail, O Queen of Heaven enthroned.
Hail, by angels mistress owned.
Root of Jesse, Gate of Morn
Whence the world's true light was born:
Glorious Virgin, Joy to thee,
Loveliest whom in heaven they see;
Fairest thou, where all are fair,
Plead with Christ our souls to spare.
TOTUS TUUS SUMMER YOUTH MISSION REGISTRATION
Registration Totus Tuus Summer Youth Mission has begun.
What is Totus Tuus: Totus Tuus is the Latin phrase,
meaning totally yours, a favorite motto of Saint John Paul
II. Totus Tuus is a summer Catholic youth program
dedicated to sharing the Gospel and promoting the Catholic
Faith through catechesis, evangelization, Christian witness
and Eucharistic worship. Totus Tuus calls upon college
students and seminarians to carry out its mission. These
individuals are trained and put into teams of four (two men
and two women) to go out to a parish for a week and put on
a “parish mission for youth.”
Who: Children enter ing grade one in the fall through
teens entering their senior year. Open to parishioners and
non-parishioners.
When: Sunday, June 9th - Thursday, June 13th for grades
7-12 at 7 pm -9 pm each night and Monday, June 10th -
Friday, June 14th for grades 1-6 at 9 am-2:30pm each day.
Where: St. Francis Xavier Cathedral
Registration: Registration forms can be found on the
website www.sfxcathedralgb.com, at all entrances to church
or by the Youth Faith Formation Office at 609-1826.
Totus Tuus Team Members: We are in search of two
families who would be willing to host either the two men or
two women in your home from Saturday, June 8 -
Friday, June 14th. You would provide sleeping
arrangements and simple breakfast food each morning. The
team will receive lunches and dinners away from the host
family’s residence. Please call the Youth Faith Formation
Office (609-1826) if you are able to host either the males or
females for the week.
Thank you, in advance, for all your support and prayers as
we plan for our 8th annual Totus Tuus Youth Mission!

LIVING ROSARY APOSTOLATE! At Mass this weekend Frank & Trudy Bonack, will
give a brief presentation on the “Living Rosary”.
Anyone interested in signing up can stop by their
table after Mass and receive a schedule.
FROM FR. JOE! I'm so grateful for your generous
response! In my previous article, I
reflected upon the importance of our
Wednesday Exposition and Adoration of
the Blessed Sacrament for the life of
Cathedral parish and our diocese. The
requirements for holding Exposition is
that at least two people be at prayer before the Blessed
Sacrament when exposed in the Monstrance. We were
struggling to meet that requirement, but no more. So many
of you have stepped forward. Thank you.
There will continue to be a need for parishioners
and other members of the Church of Green Bay to step
forward and participate in this ministry of prayer in the
months to come. Please keep this initiative in your hearts
and minds in the coming months. Pray for its growth!
It would be wonderful to have four or five signed up for
adoration for each hour, from 9 am to 8 pm. Please consider
joining us! In Christ! ~Fr. Joe
