Tulsa’s newest attraction, Gathering Place, was recently named USA Today’s “Best New Attraction.”Tulsa’s new riverfront park Gathering Place is the result of the largest private contribution to a city in US history. The resulting $465 million public park was created to draw everyone together by providing a place to gather and play, free of cost. Gathering Place has also been featured in The New York Times, Forbes, and Associated Press.The 66-acre park features regular programming, 34 miles of biking and walking trails, a five-acre Adventure Playground, a Boathouse, and dining options. Phase II of the park is in the works, with the new Tulsa Children’s Museum Discovery Lab as its centerpiece.

ROUTE 66Tulsa has one of the longest stretches of Route 66 in a metropolitan area. While traveling along the Route, visitors can spot the Blue Whale of Catoosa or stop at Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza to learn about the “Father of Route 66.”
