Open Hours: Fridays, March 2, 9 & 16, 1pm5pm & March 23, 3pm5pm; Tuesday, March 20, 68pmOpen Hours are opportunities to use the lounge, quiet lounge, art studio, and other public spaces in Felicity House to socialize orwork on personal projects. A guest artist will be available during all open hours to help with any art projects you would like to workon. During Open Hours participants are asked to adhere to the different room usages described in the handbook. SIG: Book Lovers, Friday, March 2, 23pm
Come join a discussion on the graphic novel Motel of the Mysteries by David Macaulay. No need to read the book in advance oreven at all to enjoy a conversation and summary of the novel. The book takes place in the year 4022; the ancient country of theUnited States of America has been buried under debris after a catastrophe in 1985. The adventure begins when Howard Carson, anamateur archeologist at best, stumbles across an abandoned shaft with a “DO NOT DISTURB” sign and begins to make incrediblediscoveries about the past. Open Door: Japanese Folk Dance, Tuesday, March 6, 6pm performance followed by a receptionFelicity House invites you and your guests to enjoy a traditional Japanese dance performance featuring The Japanese Folk DanceInstitute of New York. Performed for generations, the dances originated from the daily rituals of people in local Japanesecommunities and are celebrated in many festivals and popular events. This event is open to the public. The performance will beheld a block away from Felicity House at 160 Fifth Ave, 2 nd floor. RSVP is required for anyone attending. All Felicity Housecommunity members are encouraged to bring guests. Circle Meetings:Circles are closed, social meetings organized by staff contacts. Their purpose is to cultivate richer interactions for participants ofFelicity House. In this setting, participants have the opportunity to meet other women and socialize over a shared activity. Workout clothes, sneakers, and clean socks are mandatory. SIG: Anime, Tuesday, March 6, 4pm6pmParticipants will watch episodes 4, 5 and 6, of Recovery of an MMO Junkie . In this anime series, Moriko Morioka is a 30yearoldsuccessful career woman who decides to quit her taxing corporate job and find a more fulfilling life. She joins an online MMORPGand creates a male character named Hayashi as her avatar. In the game Hayashi meets another character Lilly and the twobecome close friends. Meanwhile, in the real world, Moriko has a chance encounter with Yuta Sakurai, who may have ties with heronline life. For future group meetings, participants are encouraged to recommend animes and participate in the anime survey. Movie Night: Amelie, Friday, March 23, 5pmAmélie is a French romantic comedy that tells the story of Amélie Poulain, a painfully shy waitress working in a Paris café.Struggling with her own isolation, Amélie dedicates herself to helping others find happiness in the most delightfully unexpectedways . The movie will be shown in French with subtitles. Pizza and Popcorn will be provided. Town Hall, Thursday, March 29, 6pm7pmTown Hall is a leadership meeting that is crucial to Felicity House. All Felicity House participants are invited to join, listen, bring upideas, and share feedback on current programs and events. Comments can be shared during the meeting verbally or by writingthem down in our suggestion box. We want to hear what you have to say! Your feedback is important to us as it helps structurefuture programs, events, and services.
