Read Across America Day!
The National Education Association's Read Across America is
an annual reading motivation and awareness program that
was designed to encourage every child in every community to
celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved chil-
dren's author, Dr. Seuss--Theodor Seuss Geisel.
Our school certainly understands the importance of reading
and is a strong proponent of literacy for all ages. Like Dr.
Seuss, we believe that books and learning to read should be
fun and exciting for children! We have chosen to honor Dr.
Seuss’ legacy and celebrate by making
literacy the focus of the day, and we
will approach it with the same spirit
of fun, discovery, imagination and
creativity with which he lived his life!
