The Kahlenberg S-330 Air Horn has been designed to minimize air consumption, and maximize sound pressure output, while retaining the superior finish and durable construction Kahlenberg Air Horns are famous for. The S-330 is much lighter, and significantly smaller than other horns of similar output, yet is certified to IMO Requirements for vessels up to 75 Meters in length, and can be powered by extremely small compressed air systems to minimize associated cost and space requirements on board.

The new M-512 Sound and Light Control significantly improves safety by producing automatic sound and light signals for navigation as required by IMO and SOLAS, with a more user friendly and more compact control panel. Producing automated restricted visibility codes (fog), maneuvering codes and general emergency alarm codes per IMO and SOLAS requirements, the M-512 controls up to two horns, and/or two morse lights. It can also be configured for use with external alarm systems and sound surveillance systems to suit the needs of almost any arrangement of modern ship systems.

The Kahlenberg KB-12 Manual Ships Bell is built to withstand decades of use in commercial and military marine service. With the exception of bronze bushings in the operating mechanism, the KB-12 is built entirely from stainless steel including the mounting bracket assembly. Manually operated with a stainless pull lanyard, the KB-12 Bell is a simple but effective solution to meet International IMO and COLREG requirements for a bell sounding at a minimum of 110 dB(A) on all vessels over 20 meters in length.

Type Approval requires Drawing Assessment, Prototype Testing and assessment of the manufacturer's quality assurance andquality control arrangements. The manufacturer is responsible to maintain compliance with all specifications applicable to theproduct design assessment. Unless specifically indicated in the description of the product, certification under type approval doesnot waive requirements for witnessed inspection or additional survey for product use on a vessel, MODU or facility intended tobe ABS classed or that is presently in class with ABS.

Due to wide variety of specifications used in the products ABS has evaluated for Type Approval, it is part of our contract that;whether the standard is an ABS Rule or a non-ABS Rule, the Client has full responsibility for continued compliance with thestandard.
