Theseand other differencesimplysomeuniquedesigncriteria and applicationofreserveg inthemarineenvironment.Inexplainingtheimplicationsofthesedifferencesformarine reservedesignandapplication,weidentifymanyoftheenvironmentalandecological processesanddesigncriterianecessaryforconsiderationinthedevelopmentoftheana- lyticalapproachesdevelopedelsewhereinthisSpecialIssue.
