PETER’S PENCE COLLECTION Next weekend we will take up a second col-
lection as we unite in solidarity with the work of the
Holy Father. The Peter’s Pence collection allows
Pope Francis to further works of charity with those
suffering people around the world.
Join Pope Francis and be a witness of charity
throughout the world. Please be generous in the Pe-
ter’s Pence Collection.
PARKING LOT RESEALING
With the rain, the schedule to reseal the park-
ing lot has needed to change. The current plan is for
the front lot to be resealed Monday, June 22nd. We
appreciate your patience as we work with the weather!
CLOSING OUT OUR CERTIFICATE
PROGRAM After 10+ years of parishioner support, we
have decided to close out our certificate program.
Times have changed and cards are available now in
most stores, and that caters much better to those who
need to buy “right away” or on impulse!
We thank all of you who have “shopped” via
this program and for the additional financial resources
we earned as a result.
NOW, WE ASK FOR ONE LAST BIT OF
SUPPORT: We need to close out our inventory,
which consists of approximately $9,000 in Bob Ev-
ans, Darden Restaurants (Red Lobster, Olive Garden,
Longhorn Steakhouse), Kohl’s, Cracker Barrel,
Panera Bread, Speedway, Meijers (lots of Meijers)
and others. If you are one who plans ahead or is a
regular shopper/diner/etc., at these places, what a tre-
mendous help it would be to us for you to purchase
cards from our inventory.
Please call Mary in the Rectory at 254-6233
to check current inventory, and we will do whatev-
er we can to facilitate getting the cards to you!
You pay the face value and the parish has already
received a percentage of that.
Happy Father’s Day! Father Dave always says that the world needs good papas! We are grate-ful for ours. Thank you for your love, guidance, and faith!

ST. HELEN GREEN TEAM Are you planning a camping trip this summer?
Camping is considered one of the best ways to
experience God’s gift of creation. You can camp nat-
urally, with more care for the environment by follow-
ing some basic tips.
1. Use biodegradable soap for dish washing, bathing
and laundry while camping.
2. Bring a set of reusable dishes and flatware - ditch
the disposables!
3. Purchase produce for your trip from a local organic
farm along the way!
4. Try citronella candles instead of toxic chemical
insect repellants. Wear long sleeves and long pants at
dawn and dusk when insects are most active.
5. Be sure to set up tents in designated areas to pro-
tect native plant life.
6. Leave no trace! Pack out all your trash when back-
packing. Leave your campsite cleaner than you found
it!
7. Start your day with fair trade coffee. This coffee
provides a living wage for coffee farmers, protects
rainforest habitat, and helps minimize chemical pesti-
cides and fertilizers in our environment. Don’t forget
the fair trade chocolate bars for your S'mores!
