Scriber

A scriber is a hand tool used in metalworking to mark lines on work pieces, prior to machining. The process of using a scriber is called scribing and is just part of the process of marking out. It is used instead of pencils or ink lines, because the marks are hard to see, easily erased, and inaccurate due to their wide mark; scribe lines are thin and semi-permanent. On non-coated work pieces marking blue is commonly used to increase the contrast of the mark lines.

Graduated metal ruler

Used for measuring lengths to a moderate degree of accuracy. Graduations on the ruler are usually millimeters and half millimeters. To be accurate, the rule must be in good condition with flat, straight and true edges.

Metal Set-square

Hand tool that has shaped hardened steel pointer at one end sharpened to a point approximately 60 ° is used to mark the exact place to be plotted in a piece where necessary make a hole.

Divider compasses

A compass (or pair of compasses) is a technical drawing instrument that can be used for inscribing circles or arcs. As dividers, they can also be used as tools to measure distances, in particular on maps. Compasses can be used for mathematics, drafting, navigation, and other purposes.

Punch

A punch is a hard metal rod with a shaped tip at one end and a blunt butt end at the other, which is usually struck by a hammer. Most woodworkers prefer to use a ball-peen hammer for using punches. Punches are used to drive objects, such as nails, or to form an impression of the tip on a work piece. Decorative punches may also be used to create a pattern or even form an image.

Pencil

A pencil is a writing implement or art medium usually constructed of a narrow, solid pigment core inside a protective casing. The case prevents the core from breaking, and also from marking the user’s hand during use.

Marker

A marker pen, marking pen, felt-tip pen, flow, marker or text (in Australia), is a pen which has its own ink-source, and usually a tip made of a porous, pressed fibres such as felt.[1] A typical permanent marker consists of a container (glass, aluminium or plastic) and a core of an absorbent such as

felt.
