Fans who adopt dogs at the pregame Adopt- O-Mania event on the West Plaza will be able to bring their new pets into the stadium for Bark at the Park, with all proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of Greater Miami. Following the game, Gente de Zona will perform the third Saturday Spectacular Summer Concert of the year. VS. THE ROCKIES Miami will take on the Rockies today at 4:10 p.m. in game three of this four-game set. The Clubs are meeting for the second straight weekend, as the Fish won two of three in Denver from June 5-7. The Marlins lead the all-time series against the Rox, 95-88, which includes a 57-33 mark in Miami (8-4 at Marlins Park). LAST NIGHT A three-run homer provided a major boost for the Marlins for the second consecutive night, as the Fish pulled away late for a 5-1 win over the Rockies. Last night’s blast came off the bat of J.T. Realmuto in the eighth inning, giving Mi- ami all the insurance it would need after the Rox had cut their lead to 2-1 in the seventh. Rookie Jose Ureña pitched 6.1 solid innings, allowing just one run on six hits (one home run) to earn his first Major League victory. Marcell Ozuna extended his season-long hitting streak to 13 games in the fourth inning, opening the scoring with an RBI single. Mar- tin Prado gave Miami a 2-0 lead in the sixth with a solo home run, his fourth of the year. TRANSACTIONS Following last night’s game, the Marlins optioned RHPs Kendry Flores and Andre Rienzo to Triple-A New Orleans. Today, the Club recalled from rehab and reinstated RHP Mat Latos from the 15-day disabled list, and recalled RHP Steve Cis- hek from Double-A Jacksonville. Cishek appeared in five games for the Suns, tossing 6.0 scoreless innings overall, with five hits, four strikeouts, and two saves in two chances. SCORING CHANGE A scoring change was announced today in Miami’s June 10 game at Toronto. In the bottom of the second inning, it was originally ruled that Justin Smoak advanced from second to third on a Russell Martin single, and not the subse- quent throwing error by Martin Prado. That has been changed to and advancement on the throwing error. Smoak later scored, and the change removes one earned run from Tom Koehler’s record. Koehler’s ERA this season is now 4.00 (72.0/32), down from 4.13. RBI MACHINE STEPS IT UP VS. ROX Giancarlo Stanton, who leads the Majors with 55 RBI, has knocked in a run once per 3.29 at-bats (135 ab/41 rbi) in his career against the Rockies. That is the second-best mark all-time vs. Colorado, behind only Matt Stairs (3.03), and just ahead of David Justice (3.34), according to Stats LLC. TWICE IS HARD The Marlins have not allowed more than one home run in a game at Marlins Park in 47 consecutive outings, dating back to August 15 of last season. According to Stats LLC, that is the longest streak in the Majors since 1990, ahead of a 46-game run by the 1992-93 Montreal Expos. Miami has allowed just 13 home runs at home this year, the lowest amount in the Majors, ahead of Washington (14) and Kansas City (17). The Club low for a single season was 44 by the 1996 squad, which allowed 18 homers through its first 30 home games. ROCKIE MOUNTAIN HIGH Martin Prado has a 16-game hitting streak against the Rockies, the longest active hitting streak vs. Colorado in the Majors. Marcell Ozuna’s 13-game streak vs. the Rockies is the second-longest (.431/22x51). Prado is batting .422 (27x64) during his run, with six doubles, three triples, a home run, and seven RBI, and it is his longest active streak against an opponent. The only active streaks vs. an opponent longer than Prado’s are: Jose Reyes vs. Detroit (21), Josh Donaldson vs. Minnesota (20), Allen Craig vs. Milwaukee (19), Reyes vs. Miami (18), Michael Cuddyer vs. Philadelphia (18), and Brian Dozier vs. Milwaukee (17); Starling Marte (vs. Arizona) and Mike Trout (vs. Kansas City) also have 16-game streaks. RECORD PACE Giancarlo Stanton hit his Major League-leading 22 nd home run in just his 60 th game played this season, the fastest he has reached that mark in his career, according to ESPN Stats & Info. The quickest he had done so prior to this year was 89 games in 2012, followed by 95 in 2014, 96 in 2011, 97 in 2010, and 100 in 2013. STAYIN’ ALIVE Marcell Ozuna extended his season-long hitting streak last night, pushing the run to 13 games. It is the longest active streak in the Majors, ahead of Colorado’s Troy Tulowitzki (11), and is tied with Dee Gordon (April 24-May 10) for the longest on the team this season. Ozuna, whose career-long streak was 16 games in 2013, is bat- ting .367 (18x49) during the streak, with four doubles, a home run and nine RBI, raising his season average from .267 to .289. IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO Dee Gordon is currently batting .455 (30x66) with two outs this season, tops in the Majors. Brett Barberie hit the first inside-the-park home run in Franchise history in 1994. The solo homer came in the top of the 9th in St. Louis, tying the game at 1-1; the Cardinals walked off in the bottom of the inning, however.

Mat Latos returns today from the disabled list to make his 10th start of the sea-son. He was placed on the DL on June 8 with left knee inflammation. He made 16 starts for Cincinnati in 2014, going 5-5 with a 3.25 ERA. Saw limited time after beginning season on DL recovering from offseason knee surgery and did not pitch again after September 7 due to a bone bruise in his right elbow.

He has earned a win in four of his last five starts against the Rockies. His last win against them came on July 29, 2012, at Colorado with the Reds.

Over that five-start span, has recorded 8.75 strikeouts/9.0, and compiled a 3.25 ERA (36.0 ip/13 er), and has received seven runs of support in each of his last three starts against the Rockies.

In first start of season, had shortest career start at just 0.2 inning, allowing seven runs on six hits and two walks on April 7 against Atlanta at Marlins Park. The seven runs allowed tied the third-most he has surrendered in a start in his career, behind two eight-run outings: September 17, 2010 at St. Louis and April 18, 2012 at St. Louis.

Exited start on April 29 vs. the Mets early due to strained left hamstring. Injury occurred leaving batters box after singling in fifth inning. Was also forced to leave May 16 start vs. Atlanta early after being struck on left shin by a line drive in the third inning.

Since breaking into Majors in 2009, has amassed 895 strikeouts, which ranks 10th among National League starters (min. 150 starts). His 8.10 strikeouts/9.0 rank seventh, his 3.46 ERA ranks eighth, while his 994.2 innings rank 13th and 61 wins rank 15th. Prior to last season, his 799.0 innings pitched from 2010-2013 were seventh-most among NL starters, while his 51 wins in that span ranked tied for eighth with Cole Hamels.

Over course of career, has limited opponents to 7.97 hits per 9.0 innings, tied for fourth-fewest in NL (11th in Majors, min. 150 starts) behind Clayton Kershaw (6.61), Matt Cain (7.45) and Johnny Cueto (7.74).
