is responding to Bishop

Warfel's invitation to join this

nationwide effort to assess, expand, and communicate

resources to pregnant moms and families in need. You will

be hearing more throughout the year. We will begin with

Spiritual Adoption on March 25th, the Solemnity of the

Annunciation of the Lord and the 25th anniversary of the

papal encyclical Evangelium vitae (The Gospel of Life).

Spiritual Adoption is a family friendly program based on an

idea by Archbishop Fulton Sheen in which participants pray

for a specific, but unknown, unborn child during the nine

months of development in the womb. The spiritually

adopted child is known only to God. We will provide

development updates throughout the nine months so you

can follow the baby's development. We encourage you to

name the baby that you are praying for. Spiritual Adoption

emphasizes the power of prayer in safeguarding life in the

mother's womb. Our prayers can also be a form of spiritual

support for both of the baby's parents. Please prayerfully

consider adopting a baby.

We will have prayer cards available for you at the table

in the back entry. The heart is beating stronger every

day; brain waves can be detected. The skeleton is

complete and reflexes are present. Baby can stretch

and jump! And God saw that it was good.

St. Vincent De Paul wishes to express a sincere

thank you to all the parishes for the exceptional

response we have received during this

unprecedented crisis. We very much appreciate

all the gifts and support you have shared. This

includes food, your help in preparing meals, monetary gifts, and

volunteers which are so necessary in helping our friends. Without

this support, we could not continue to serve and actually expand

our services. Your assistance and prayers will sustain our ministry

beyond the coronavirus crisis. Thank you and may God bless you.

HOLY CROSS CEMETERY Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Holy Cross

Cemetery will NOT be celebrating Memorial Day

Mass at St. Ann’s Chapel this year. The cemetery

will be open as usual during Memorial Day

weekend; we just ask that everyone please be

respectful of social distancing. Angela will be at the cemetery that

weekend to offer any assistance any one may need. We are very

sorry for not being able to celebrate Mass on Memorial Day and,

we pray that we may be able to celebrate Mass next year on

Memorial Day. Thank you. 406-839-8387

Welcome Back! Last week our

Bishop, Michael Warfel, contacted his

diocesan priests to inform them that he is

supporting Governor Bullock’s lifting

certain restrictions of social distancing

and areas of compliance. The lifting of

compliance measures includes us.

On Sunday, April 26th, 2020 we

celebrated in our church Masses at 9:30AM and 5:00PM. Our daily

Mass schedule resumed last Tuesday, April 28th. Eucharistic

Adoration resumed in the church beginning last Thursday.

I continue to strongly encourage parishioners who have

underlying health concerns, experiencing cold/flu-like

symptoms, or are vulnerable segments of the population, to

refrain from physically attending Mass. The Bishop’s general

dispensation from attending Sunday Mass remains in effect.

Please note in the alcove area on the inner church wall and

adjacent to the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe there is a deposit

box that you can drop your collection envelopes/monies; it is a

securely mounted metal box. Feel free to deposit your offerings

there.

Keep in mind our general guidelines:

If you are sick, stay at home

Please maintain the required social distancing

restrictions

Wash your hands with soap and water before your arrival

to church

Use the hand sanitizers when entering and exiting the

church

Avoid touching your face

Cough or sneeze into a tissue or the inside of your elbow

Strongly consider using a face covering for your

protection and others

Please continue to pray for one another and check in with your

neighbors, especially your older community members. In our

church community we continue to pray for those most susceptible

to the disease, including those already sick, our seniors, and our

caregivers. We also keep in our prayer petitions those who are

facing economic hardship, including those seeing a loss of income

and employment from the disease’s repercussions.

Thank You for adjusting to our parish guidelines. May our Most

Gracious and Loving God Hear and Answer our Prayers.

Father José Marquez, Pastor—Mary Queen of Peace Parish,

Billings Montana
