FAMILY ISSUES Mary, the only surviving legitimate child of King James V of Scotland, she was 6 days old when her father died and she acceded to the throne.
She spent most of her childhood in France while Scotland was ruled by regents, she married the Dauphin of France, Francis.
He accended to the throne and Mary was named the queen of France but this just last a year because of Francis death
GET BACK TO ONCE BELONG Widowed, Mary returned to Scotland
Four years later, she married her first cousin, Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley.
They had a son called James
In February, his residence was destroyed by an explosion, and Darnley was found murdered in the garden.
Mary was arrested and held prisoner, she was forced to give up the throne for James
DON’T MESS WITH QUEEN ELIZABETH I. After an unsuccessful attempt to regain the throne, she fled southwards looking of protection from her cousin , Queen Elizabeth I of England.
Mary was found guilty of plotting to assassinate Elizabeth, and was subsequently executed.
