Masuria is a region in northern Poland famous for its 2,000

lakes.

Masuria and the Masurian Lake District are known in Polish as Kraina Tysiąca Jezior and in German as Land der Tausend Seen, meaning "land of a thousand lakes."

Administratively, it belongs to Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. Its biggest city is Ełk, often regarded as its capital. It has territory of about 10,000 km2 and population of 500,000.

Baltic Sea

The Baltic Sea is located between the Scandinavian Peninsula, Finland, theBaltic countries, and in the South the North European Plain

The Baltic Sea is connected by artificial waterways to the White Sea via the White Sea Canal and to the German Bight of the North Sea via the Kiel Canal.

Storm surge floodings are generally taken to occur when the water level is more than one metre above normal. In Warnemünde about 110 floods occurred from 1950 to 2000, an average of just over two per year.

MORSKIE OKOEYE OF THE SEA

Morskie Oko "Eye of the Sea" is the largest and fourth deepest lake in the Tatra Mountains.

It is located deep within the Tatra National Park, Poland, in the Rybi Potok Valley, at the base of the Mięguszowiecki Summits, in Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Morskie Oko has been recognized by the journalists of The Wall Street Journal as one of the five most beautiful lakes in the World.
