A dedicated Agro Industrial policy providing special incentives to

the agro industry investors based on the size and projects with

minimum fixed capital investment of Rs 250 million under Mega

Project Scheme.

Punjab Agri Export Corporation is providing 25% to 30% subsidy

on waxing/grading, packing and freight for distant marketing &

Export of fresh and processed vegetables.

Punjab Agro Juices Ltd. (PAJL) operates two plants at

Hoshiarpur and Abohar to process citrus, tropical fruits and

vegetables.

Punjab Agro Juices Limited has todate processed about 34,000MT of a variety of raw materials like Kinnow, amla, Aloevera,

Tomato, Lauki etc for its clients.

To facilitate establishment of strong food processing

industries, Mega Food Parks is being implemented in

dist. Ferozepur at a cost of Rs.1,500 million by IMFPL.

MFP would provide common infrastructure for primary

processing, packaging, QC lab, ETP,

road/power/water supply to over 30 food processing

units within the park.

A temporary Perishable Cargo Centre setup in

2006 to facilitate export of fresh fruits & vegetables

and processed foods.

This is being upgraded to a permanent ultra

modern facility of 150 TPD capacity with an

investment of Rs.200 million.
