Justification for names

Rebel YellI chose Rebel Yell because I associate rock and metal music initially with being rebellious and going against the status quo. In addition, by using this name as my magazine head mast, it connotes that the magazine will be informing it’s audiences about the music industry in an informal manner.

DistortionThis links with a guitar setting, which is commonly used in heavy metal and rock music, this illustrates the genre of the magazine and the target audience.

Justification for names

Basket CaseI chose this as a mast head because Basket Case is the common word used to describe a social outcast (at least it was) and appears in most punk-rock songs, such as Green Day’s song: Basket Case. This can link to how rock, punk and metal music were rebellious at the time and can appeal to the ‘social outcasts’ in today’s society.

Colour?

I have chosen black as the masthead colour as it is significant to the metal and rock genre, for example the increase in black leather, black metal etc. also the colour will be able to match whatever the magazine features, the mast head would not have to change in any way.
