Conclusions
XM is the central platform to operate ASDEX Upgrade and automate experiment
execution. It
-defines operation methods of the machine
-provides acces methods to resource information and monitors resources
-provides central services for configuration, logging, protocolling, and archiving
-provides user interfaces for operators / sys.engineers / exp.leaders
The separation of operation control flow from discharge information
handling
helped to design a method to configure the highly flexible system in a
transparent way.
