The YST chillerplaces the steam condenser on top of thechiller, so the footprint is no greater than acompact electrical chiller. Optimized to control steamPrevious-generation, steam-turbine chillersused a composite of various componentcontrols. The YST is the first steam-turbinechiller where the control system has beendeveloped from the ground up to control thecomplete chiller. At the heart of the systemis the OptiView™ Control Center. Its powerfulmicroprocessor and graphical user interfaceset the standard by presenting more data inthe friendliest possible way.

In operation, proven OptiView control logiccontinually monitors all chiller and steamconditions, and automatically determines the most efficient way to run the chiller.Furthermore, the control algorithms havebeen developed from process-industry experience to ensure that the YST chiller will handle extraordinary operating conditionsin a controlled and safe manner.
