Dear Children,

It’s MOTHERS’ DAY!!! You didn’t forget, did you?! Why don’t you tell you mom you love her right now! There are so many ways to thank her:

• compliment her – think of what you love most about her, and tell her• ask her how you can pray for her, and do it• thank her for being such a sweet momma• thank her for all the things she does for you that you never see• thank her for praying with you• thank her for praying for you• thank her for seeking God’s help in being a mother• thank her (because I bet she has) for reading books on mothering• thank her for feeding you• thank her for being patient with you• you can even thank her for when she disciplines you (it means she loves you)• ask her about her mother• thank her for taking care of you when you were sick• some of your mothers teach you school at home; some of your mothers drive you to school; she and your dad make sure you get educated and learn• momma’s sacrifice! She may not tell you that, but she does. Thank her.• thank her for loving your daddy and for being sweet to him and for forgiving him and taking care of him too!!

Our moms are special, and today we will speak of God’s majesty and greatness. When you try to picture our Heavenly Father with those qualities, you have only look as far as your mom to see Him in her. Look forward to seeing you today! Lots going on in worship this morning!

1. Could you memorize Romans 11:33-36 this week? Ask your mom or dad if they would reward you in some way if you memorized these verses by May 31!

2. What does “doxology” mean? How can you show praise to God?

3. When you think about the deep end of a swimming pool, what do Paul’s words mean to you when he exclaims, Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God? [What did Mr. Mac say in his sermon about the deepest ocean floor in the world? Where is it? How deep is it?]

4. Does God need our advice and counsel and wisdom? Why or why not? Does He need our money or gifts or talents or good works? Does God owe you anything?

5. What does it mean to glorify God? How can you glorify God in your life?

THE SIMPLEST OUTLINE FOR FAMILY TIME EVER!!!10 EASY STEPS

#1 Just make sure you gather once a day as a family.

#2 Try really hard to make the same time every day.

#3 It does not have to be long; it does not have to be perfect.

#4 Read a Bible verse. Maybe a devotional.

#5 Sing a song or two together.

#6 Take prayer requests.

#7 Pray. (Daddy, your children NEED to hear you pray.) Pray for the children; pray for missionaries; pray for Trinity Church; give thanks.

#8 Everyone tell one thing they are thankful for.

#9 Have a Leader of the Day: they get to read and/or pray and/ or tell everyone to come gather and/or put out the Bibles/ hymnals and/or tell something that happened to them that day.

#10 Dad, pray this over your children: Numbers 6:24–26

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

Montgomery don’t wear special clothing like head scarves or caps even though their mothers and teenaged sisters may wear them.

Muslims believe there is one God who created and reigns over all the universe just like we do, but they don’t believe that Jesus is God’s one and only Son who sacrificed His life to save people from their sins. Muslims don’t read the Bible which is God’s word so they don’t know that God is loving and merciful. Their special book is called the Quran.

Muslims think they can earn their way to heaven by being a good person andfollowing certain special rituals. Every year Muslim families observe a 30-day time of prayer and fasting. It is called Ramadan. This year, Ramadan is from May 15 to June 14. Can you imagine eating breakfast early in the morning before the sun comes up and then not eating all day until after sunset when you have supper? Can you imagine doing that for 30 days in a row?

Many Christians pray for Muslims to believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior and try to tell them about Him. They pray especially for Muslims during Ramadan because that is when Muslims are seeking God. Will you pray daily from May 15 to June 14 that Muslims find the true God who loves them and sent Jesus His Son to die for them?

There are so many things to be thankful to God for!Some things we should be thankful for are mentioned in this hymn, such as: “countless gifts of love,” and His promise to

“guide us when perplexed,” “keep us in His grace,” and “free us from all ills in this world and the next.” God is so

wonderful and He loves us so much! We should thank Him and praise Him daily. What do you have to be thankful for?

Philippians 2:5 says “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.” This hymn says that we can have Jesus’ mind,

Word, peace, love, and beauty in our lives each day. How is that possible? God gave us the Holy Spirit to be our guide, our comforter, and our helper. Pray that the Holy Spirit would give you the mind of Christ so that you can obey His Word, feel His

peace, and love others as He loves us.
