New committee members are welcome throughout the year and if you are were unable to make the AGM but would like to get involved, please contact Marcus at [email protected]. You will note from the above list that there are some members who have taken on more than one role, and both fundraising and catering need the help of many members.

A big thank you to our outgoing Secretary, Daniel Joyner and Treasurer, Jim Dixon, who are leaving our Club due to their children no longer swimming. Thank you both so much for all the time and effort you have put into, not only the position of Secretary and Treasurer, but as a committee member in general. Both Dan and Jim have been extremely instrumental to the finances of the club. Jim, Diana and family have been the Club’s major sponsor (Woden Dermatology) over the past couple of years. We are truly grateful for their generosity as they have provided much needed sponsorship money and raffle contributions. Dan has been the force behind many fundraising ventures including securing and organising the Bunnings Barbeques and our major Annual Raffle, as well as other fundraising activities along the way. He not only took on the role as Secretary, but was a big part of catering, fundraising, Swimming ACT, public officer …. just to name a few. Thank you Dan and Jim for all that you have done, you both will be truly missed.

Also a big thank you to our outgoing President, Cindy Mackie. Thankfully, Cindy is not going anywhere as she has now taken on the role of Public Officer.

Once again, thank you to the members who came along to our AGM, your attendance was much appreciated. We have a big and exciting year ahead of us, which will need the efforts and support of all our members. Whether you currently hold a committee position or not, please help out and get involved.
