Vierge Marie,
prends-moi par la main.
En ce jour qui commence,
Marie ma providence,
Je m'adresse à toi,
Le creuset de ma foi.
Je pourrais m'en tirer,
Ne rien te demander.
Mais je sais qu'avec toi,
J'aurai fait le bon choix.
A mes heures de doute,
Quand un sourire me coûte,
Montre-moi le chemin
Et prends-moi par la main.
Quand mes yeux ne voient plus,
Que mes plaies sont à nu,
Soulage mon chagrin
Et prends-moi par la main.
Quand me manque la sagesse
De taire les mots qui blessent,
Mets à ma langue un frein
Et prends-moi par la main.
Si j'oublie d'écouter
Ou de laisser parler.
Donne-moi ta patience.
