The game will begin at 2:30 p.m. (EST) and will be televised by ESPN2. The Huskies (2-0) are coming off a 65-57 victory over College of Charleston in the tournament first round on Thursday. UConn is led by senior Ryan Boatright, averaging 21.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. Amida Brimah is averaging 13.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Dayton (2-0) defeated Texas A&M, 55-53 in the tournament’s first round. The Flyers are paced by junior forward Dyshawn Pierre (15.0 ppg). (ET) HUSKY BITES Kevin Ollie is in his third season as the 18th head coach of the UConn men’s basketball program, with a career record of 54-18. He is the only head coach in UConn history to reach 50 victories in his first two years and his .750 winning percentage is the best of any UConn coach who has coached more than 20 games. UConn is playing its 261st game on ESPN/ESPN2 since 1986-87, the start of the Jim Calhoun era. The Huskies have a record of 162-98 (.623) in those games. TOURNAMENT TIME: For the 10th con-secutive season, the UConn Huskies are par-ticipating in a November tournament --- this season, it is the 2014 Puerto Rico Tip-Off, held at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan.ItisUConn’sfirstappearanceinPuertoRico. In the nine previous tournaments, begin-ning in 2005-06, the Huskies own a sparkling 25-4 record (.862), including five tourna-ment championships and three runner-up positions. The five titles came in the 2005Maui Invitational, the 2006 Hispanic College Fund Classic, the 2008 Paradise Jam, the 2010 Maui Invitational, and last year in the 2013 2K Sports Classic. The 2014 Puerto Rico Tip-Off takes place over Nov. 20-23, with teams playing three of the four days --- Thursday, Friday, and Sun-

day. UConn opened the tournament with a win against College of Charleston on Thurs-day,andwillcompeteinthesemifinalstodayagainst the University of Dayton at 2:30 p.m. (EST), televised on ESPN2. A victory today would send the Huskies into the Puerto Rico Tipoff championship game on Sunday (6:30 p.m.) against the survivor of the lower half of the bracket --- which includes Boston College, West Virgin-ia, New Mexico and George Mason. A loss today would put UConn into the third-place game on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. on ESPN2. As of the start of the 2014-15 NBA season, nine former UConn players were on NBA rosters, with a few others possibly waiting in the wings. The nine former Huskies are on eight different NBA rosters, and total a combined 60 seasons of NBA experience. The UConn nine are led by Caron Butler (Pistons), in his 13th NBA season. The eight other former Huskies on NBA rosters include Ben Gordon (Magic), in his 11th year, Charlie Villanueva (Mavericks), in his 10th year, Rudy Gay (Kings), in his 9th season, A.J. Price (Pacers), in his 6th year, Kemba Walker (Bobcats), in his 4th NBA season, Jeremy Lamb (Thunder) and Andre Drummond (Pistons), each in his 3rd year, and Shabazz Napier (Heat) in his rookie season. HISTORY VS. DAYTON: Today’s game will be only the third meeting between UConn and Dayton, and all three have been in a tournament setting. The Flyers own a 2-0 mark against the Huskies. Dayton topped UConn, 76-75 in overtime on March 10, 1982, at Dayton in the first round of thepostseason NIT. The Flyers also defeated UConn,80-66,onNov.20,2000,inthefirstround of the Maui Invitational.

Charleston closed to within four points twice in the sec-ond half, but UConn’s Ryan Boatright (19 points), Daniel Hamilton (15) and Amida Brimah (14) kept the Huskies in front.

GOOD START: UConn won its 15th straight season opener and extended its perfect record to 26-0 in Gampel Pavilion openers with a 66-53 victory over Bryant on Nov. 14. Senior Ryan Boatright led a second-half comeback that saw the Huskies rally from a nine-pointdeficit in thesecondhalf for thewin. Boatright scored a game-high 24 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, handed out 5 assists, and had 4 steals in an outstanding all-around performance. Sophomore center Amida Brimah added 12 points and 5 blocked shots, while sophomore forward Kentan Facey grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds.

AAC HONOR ROLL: UConn senior guard Ryan Boatright was named to the firstAmerican Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll of the 2014-15 season following his per-formance against Bryant.

LONGEST WIN STREAK: By virtue of its six-game run through last season’s NCAA Tournament, plus two wins this season, UConn owns the longest current winning streak in Division I at eight in a row.
