DisclaimerOn January 01, 2015 the Flight Time Limitations in sections 1,2,3 and 4 went into effect.

The purpose of this document is to provide an explanation of the methods and criteria for the application of MCAA FTL. Where an AMC, GM or CS has not been published, the MCAA will permit operators to use the EASA AMCs, GMs and CSs provided that they are used in a manner which do not conflict with the MCAR and it implementing rules.

The documentation is provided “AS IS” and is solely intended to provide a general understanding of the author’s interpretation of the new MCAA mandated FTL Regulations.

ORO.FTL.205(e) Maximum daily FDP with

the use of in-flight rest:Flight Crew Member:

• The Scheduled FDP Limits for Augmented Flight Crews:o the FDP is limited to 3 sectorso The minimum rest at destination is at least as long as the preceding duty period, or 14

hours, whichever is greater• the minimum in-flight rest period is:

o a consecutive 90-minute period for each crew member o 2 consecutive hours for the flight crew members at control during landing.

• The maximum daily FDP under the provisions of ORO.FTL.205 (e) may be extended due to in-flight rest for flight crew in accordance to the following table:

ORO.FTL.205(e) Maximum daily FDP with

the use of in-flight rest:

Cabin Crew Member:• Augmented Cabin Crew Members are permitted

to be extended under the following conditions:o the FDP is limited to 3 sectorso The minimum rest at destination is at least

as long as the preceding duty period, or 14 hours, whichever is greater

o The extension up to the Maximum extended FDP, provided each CCM is provided an inflight that meets the values in the following Table:
