    Confidentiality of Booklets

    Students may NOT … 

    Review test booklets or answer bookletsbefore, during, or after testing.

    Work in any session, other than the oneassigned.

    Have access to tests before testing.

    Duplicate test materials.

    Retain, recycle, remove, or destroy testmaterials.

    Use the bathroom with other students.

    Eligibility for Test Accommodationsfor Students with Disabilities

    IEP or 504 plan must specify theaccommodations to be used for testing.

     Accommodations may not be provided ifIEP has not yet been signed by thestudent’s parent/guardian. 

     Accommodations may be provided if a504 plan is being developed for a student.

    If a Student Refuses an Accommodation

    Document refusal in student’s file. 

    Do not ask the student to sign a statement.

    Continue to make accommodation available forremainder of test administration.

     Amend IEP/504 plan for future testing.

    It may be appropriate to list theaccommodation in the IEP/504 plan “asrequested by student” or remove it.

    sleep. Give your child a hearty breakfast on the dayof testing.

    Encourage your child to relax, but to try hisor her best.

    Encourage your child to answer allquestions.

    Send them to school with plenty to read forwhen he/she is done with the test.

    Be sure to get medical documentation if your

    child must be absent.
