BrotherYou gave no one a last farewell, nor ever said good-bye.

You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.A million times we will miss you, a million times we will cry.

If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still.

In our hearts you hold a place, no one else can fill.It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone.

For part of us went with you, the day God took you home.We will meet again someday, I know in a better place.

I thank God He made you our brother,While you were here on earth.

I sit here and I ponder how very muchI’d like to talk to you today.

There are so many things that we didn’t get to say.I know how much you care for me,

And how much I care for you.And each time that I think of you,

I know you’ll miss me too.An angel came and called your name,And took you by the hand and said

Your place was ready in Heaven, far above…And you had to leave behind,All though you dearly loved.

You had so much to live for, you had so much to do…It still seemed impossible, that God was taking you.

And though your life on earth is past,In Heaven it starts anew.

You’ll live for all eternity, just as God has promised you.And though you’ve walked through Heaven’s gate,

We are never apart,For each time that we think of you.
