There are numerous search methods available in the Adobe® Reader—these are described in detail in the
Adobe® Reader Help.
When you select a document from the search results, that document will open to the page with the first
occurrence of the search word in it. The search word will appear as highlighted text in the document.
Pressing the F3 key will move the cursor to the next occurrence of the search word.
Navigating within documentsFollowing is a list of basic Adobe® Reader navigation tools to get you started. A complete guide to using
Adobe® Reader is installed with the Adobe® Reader program.
BookmarksWhen you select a document from the MCP Library, the document will open in Adobe® Reader. As a
default, the document will appear in Single Page view with bookmarks.
Bookmarks for the document will be listed on the LEFT SIDE of the screen, and the pages/text of the
document will be listed on the RIGHT SIDE.
Selecting a bookmark in the left screen will advance the text in the right screen to the specified chapter
or subsection of the open document. For example, if you select the CHAPTER 1 bookmark, you will be
taken to the beginning of Chapter 1 of the current document. You will notice that the first entry in each set
of bookmarks is MAIN MENU; clicking on this will return you to the MCP main menu screen that appears
when you first start the MCP.
LinksYou will notice as you move through the documents that some of the text appears in RED on your screen.
These red highlighted words are called LINKS—clicking on one of these links with your mouse will
advance the text to whatever item or section of the document the link refers.
