• The program office estimates number of trips needed and locations
• Contractor bids to these cost• The total amount of travel CLIN is then broken out into monthly
increments• We also have Optional Travel CLINs • Program office has trips that may or may not happen these trips
are built is as Optional Travel CLINs…if trip(s) are performed, the Optional Travel CLIN is executed and contractor proceeds with travel…as the Optional Travel CLIN usually has more than one trip, the travel CLIN is paid in equal increments that will cover the remainder of the period of performance (PoP)
