Reports are usually faxed to your doctor on the day of the exam, often within minutes of exam completion. MRI MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a safe technique that allows doctors to see inside the human body in remarkable detail without using x-rays. Instead, MRI uses a powerful magnet, radio waves and a sophisticated computer system. This scan will provide your doctor with important information on certain types of body tissue (internal organs, joints, brain and spine) differently than an x-ray or a Computed Tomography (CT) scan.

CT COMPUTERIZED TOMOGRAPHYCT (Computerized Tomography) or CAT (Computerized Axial Tomography) is a medical imaging procedure that utilizes computer-processed x-rays to produce tomographic images or "slices" of specific areas of the body. CT is also used for colon, lung, and coronary calcium screening.
