Course Description
Each year, more than 60 workers are killed by falls from scaffolds in the USA, 1 in 5 of the fatal falls in construc-tion. Beside problems with planks and guardrails, the main causes of injuries and deaths on scaffolds are poor planning for assembling and taking them apart, missing tie-ins or bracing, loads that are too heavy, and being too close to power lines. Also falling objects can hurt people below scaffolds. OSHA – USA says a competent person must inspect a scaffold before each work shift and after anything happens that could affect the structure. The competent person should be trained in scaffold safety. A competent person must supervise if a scaffold is assem-bled, changed, moved, or taken apart.

This training course will provide participants with the es-sential knowledge and skills to become scaffold compe-tent persons as requested by OSHA. And to provide an introduction to scaffolding, covering the safe erection, al-teration and dismantling of a range of scaffolding.
Day 1:General Safety requirements of Scaffolds (OSHA Standard).Health and Safety Awareness Course.Product familiarization in approved prefabrication systems scaffold.Interpretation of simple drawings.
Day 2:Quiz 1Manual Handling.Permit to work, TBT and Risk Assessment.Erection and dismantling of Frame Scaffold.
Day 3:Quiz 2Erection and dismantling of Tube & Clamps Scaffolds.Erection and dismantling of System Scaffold (Cup lock).Scaffold Tags.
Day 4:Quiz 3Mobile Scaffolds.Suspended Scaffolds.Inspection of all types of scaffolds.OSHA scaffold Standard.Calculating scaffold loads.
Day 5:Questions test paper (includes intermediate test at the end of the theoretical training).Technical inspection exam for trainee on erected scaffold.

TÜV Middle East Certificate will be issued to all at-tendees.Course Fee mentioned is per delegate.Avail an attractive 10% discount on course fee if you register 30 days before course start date.Courses will be conducted during the designated dates at a 4 star or 5 star hotel in the designated city.Payments to be made in advance. Exact venue of the training will be notified two weeks prior to course start date.This rate includes course notes, buffet lunch, coffee/tea on arrival, morning and afternoon of each day.Accomodation is not included in course fees.
