MC 120-60 and MC 75-50The EMCO FAMUP MC series. One of the most advanced vertical machining center concepts. Never before milling parts could beproduced faster with better accuracy and with a surface finish of high quality. The MC series machines are highly flexible and therefore suitable for almost any machining job. And they are exceedingly efficient. This makes them extremely productive even forheavy machining. The MC machine series is available with three different CNC controls: FANUC 18i, Heidenhain iTNC530, SIEMENS840D.

[Engineering] Highlights

Quick-change. The MC 75 and MC 120 are equippedwith a drum-type magazine with 30 tool stations andtool changing arm. The tool change takes only 1.5seconds. The tool changer works on the "randomprinciple". The tools are always picked up and dropped off using the shortest travel distance.

Guideway quality. The MC series machining centers are fitted with top-quality 35 mm circulating-ball guideways as standard. Ball-cage technology (caged ball) is usedfor the guideways. This helps us achieve the best possible guidance quality and extra long lubrication intervals.

Chip tray. The MC 75-50 and MC 120-60 machiningcenters have a standard chip tray. With the right electrical and mechanical preparation this systemcan also accommodate a chip conveyor.

Tool cooling. Cooling water - standard 5 bar throughthree adjustable nozzles. Internal coolant supply - 15or 30 bar (optional)

The MC machines have a distinctive user-friendly concept: Generously dimensioned doors allow easy loading of large workpieces. The large access to the machine working area makesmaintenance and cleaning easy. The control panel swivels and ensures safe and fatigue free operating.

MCP 70-50 and MCP 100-50The EMCO FAMUP MCP series. CNC vertical machining centers with the latest generation of pallet changers. These machines arecomparable to our MC series with regard to quality, performance and precision. But in productivity the MCP series has enormousadvantages to offer. The workpiece is changed on the respective pallet parked outside the working area. Changing time is 9seconds. The MCP machine series is available with three different CNC controls: FANUC 18i, Heidenhain iTNC530, SIEMENS 840D.

[Engineering] Highlights

Optimum chip removal. Integrated worm gears areused on the MCP 100-50 to remove the chipstowards the back of the machine. These worm gearsremove even the heaviest chips from the work area, supported by the flushing system.

Rotary tables. MCP models can also be fitted with programmable rotary tables or swivel bridges. This enables maximum flexibility in the mass production of components.

This machine is fitted with a generous loading door with pneumatic openingmechanism. Working and loading areas are clearly seperated from each other. This ensures optimum operator safety. The machine can be loaded from the frontvia pallets parked either on the right or the left side.

Optional rotary tables. Infinitely variable/indexed rotary tables are fitted at thecustomer's request. The movement of the table is CNC controlled and can beinterpolated with every machine axis (X, Y, Z). Image: infinitely variable swivel rotary table (fourth and fifth axes), Ø 200 mm.

Kessler motor spindle. Our machines are fitted with Kessler motor spindles. Theperformance data is absolutely conclusive: 12000 rpm with liquid cooling. Top performance 35 kW (S6) with maximum torque 120 Nm. Acceleration: from 0 to12000 rpm in only 1.2 seconds.

Long-life guides. Innovative guides with ball-cage technology are used in EMCOFAMUP machining centers. A patented plastic circulating system prevents the balls from colliding and extends the lubrication intervals by forming naturallubricant reservoirs.

Steel-ceramic circulating-ball system. MC and MCP machining centers are fitted with steel and ceramic circulating-ball systems as standard. Alternate use ofsteel and ceramic balls reduces friction between the balls and maintains a constant operating temperature.

Performance

Machine designThe Meehanite cast-iron structure is the basis for the extremely robust construction of theMC-MCP machines. This guarantees maximum bending strength and optimum vibrationdampening. High metal-cutting forces are easily absorbed by the structure. The result:maximum precision.
