Major mineral resources:
There is a abundant no. of minerals such as Quartz, Feldspar, Building Stone, Road
metal and Granite in Medak District.
The quartz mineral is used in the glass, tiles and slabs manufacturing industries.
Feldspar is used in ceramic industry and low grade feldspar is used in cement industry
to increase combustion factor/ calorific value of coal.
The District is having enormous deposits of stone and metal used in the building
construction purpose. Stone and metal occur in the several mandals of the district
especially at Yeldurthy(Ramanthapur, Asthalapur, Masaipet), Ramayampet(V&M),
Toopran (Lingareddypally, Allapur, Ghanpur Villages).

is having enormous deposits of stone and metal used in the building construction purpose. Stone
and metal occur in the several mandals of the district especially at Yeldurthy(Ramanthapur,
Asthalapur, Masaipet), Ramayampet(V&M), Toopran (Lingareddypally, Allapur, Ghanpur
Villages). There is a scope for stone crushing units to produce stone aggregates useful in the
construction, roads and other civil works.
Further, the following line of activities is under active implementation in Medak District:
Phosphate Nitrate and Cloride Salts, Quartz Powder and Ramming Mass, Welding
electrodes, Stainless Steel fabrication, Hard Candy, Plastic Granuels, PVC insulated cables, Pre-
engineer building structures, Seed Processing, Indian Made Foreign Liquor.
