HOW TO TAKE PORTRAITS

PORTRAIT: RULE OF THIRDS

The subject is placed in the rule of thirds because it is in the thirds of the

picture which brings interests to the photo. If the subject was in the

middle, the photo wouldn’t be as interesting. This is why photographers

use this rule to help them take better photos of portraits or sceneries.

PORTRAIT TIP #2

When taking a portrait its best to choose the pose correctly for your

subject, not all subjects will suite the pose chosen for them. Choose

wisely!

PORTRAIT TIP #3

Choosing your background can greatly effect the subject, like in this photo

you see above. He looks like a floating head with a tie. Also, its best to

capture a real smile in your photo, instead of a boring smile. To achieve

this smile or expression, you need to have a small talk to make your

subject more comfortable instead of telling them what to do right away.

HOW TO USE GIMP

I started off by using The Fuzzy Tool, later left clicked around the

subject in the photo which highlighted around it using Gimp. After that, I

right clicked on the subject which gave me the option to invert which

allowed me to copy and paste it onto another file which is 1000x1000.

I opened up a new file and placed the picture in it using Gimp still. I later

used the Free Select Tool, aka The Lasso Tool and turned on the feather

edge effect which keeps the rabbit looking fuzzy. I left clicked all around

the rabbit’s head, after I was done, I copied and pasted it onto the file with

the cut out body of image #1.

After I was done cutting out the first image, I pasted it in another file on

GIMP which was 1000x1000 and started working on the next image. After I

was done, I pasted the head of the rabbit on the Godzilla’s body. I used the

Scale Tool to position and change the size of each image. Ta-da!

HOW TO MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO

STEP #1

First, you have to come up with a storyboard which will guide you

and your actors through making the video. By doing this will save you

time and money. You need to include the camera

angles, emotions, conversations, and directions in your storyboard.

STEP #2

Before you start filming, you NEED to make sure you have all your

supplies, actors, and props ready for the filming day. Other wise you won’t

be able to film because you’ll be too busy gathering your needed supplies.

STEP #3

Once everything is ready, START FILMING.

Be sure to follow your storyboard!

STEP #4

Place all your scenes in the Media list, make sure you have them named and

in order other wise it would take more time. Place them in order in the

Sequence bar, be sure to cut away all the junk and remove the sound! To

removed the sound, you need to select the sound from the scene and remove

ONLY it. Once you have everything laid out, you can add the Music. This is

how you can edit your videos.
