The Cover...

Title:The red colour stands out from the grey, black and white. The masthead is placed at the top of the page for customers to see clearly. The font is bold and separated making it easy to read.

Skyline: A free offer at the top of the page to persuade the audience to buy it.

Puff:Reveals a

competition inside that the audience

will be interested in if they enjoy

listening to 'The Fire Starters’.

Sell Lines:These intrigue the

audience because then they know what articles

are inside and if they want to purchase the

magazine or not.

Anchorage Text:The writing is large and clear and is obvious that it belongs to the main image. I used a quote that was a real statement and makes my character seem feisty, which the readers would enjoy.

Barcode:I placed the barcode

and price of the magazine in the

bottom right hand corner of the page because this is the last thing that the

customer would see.

Model: The model has a direct mode of address because she is looking directly at the camera with her body

facing forward.

Heading: Clear so makes the audience aware of what they are reading.

Features:Clear box showing the audience what is on the cover and on what page to find it.

Subscription Box: This would attract readers because it shows them that if they subscribe then they can save money on further Shout!

purchases.

Clear Titles:Make the audience find the pages they want quickly and easily.Descriptions:Very, simple but let the readers know what the article is about without giving too much detail.Coloured numbering:The audience can see clearly which page each article is on.

Pictures:The numbers on the

pictures are corresponding to their

article. This means that if the reader wanted go

to the page that the cover artist is on, they

would be able to go straight there without

reading the article contents.

Clear Layout:It is not jumbled, it is very neat so that the customers can read the magazine with ease and not be overwhelmed

with lots of pictures and articles.

Title: ‘Up close and personal’ implies that the interview is going

to be revealing and that the audience may discover something

new about her.

Picture: Has a direct mode of address as she is looking straight towards the camera

and smiling as if she has lots of confidence. It also matches the picture as

it is a close-up shot of her.

Quotes:Let the readers

know what she is

generally like and

gives them an insight to

what the interview

may include.

Sub-heading:Gives the audience an insight to what the interview is about.

Main text:Lets readers know what this musician is like as a person. The colours help to identify who is speaking, the interviewer’s questions are red and the artist’s answers are black.

Album Cover:Tells the audience

when the release of her album is.

Page number:Helps readers to find the articles they are looking for.
