About Encore: Encore Vocal Ensemble is San Diego’s go-to choral group for quality, entertaining performances of musical theatre at a great value. Through mainstage and community performances, and a robust schedule of master classes, Encore members share their love of live performance with the San Diego region while expanding their capabilities as performers. Led by acclaimed Music Director Tim McKnight, Encore is recognized for its professional quality of performances and brings together a talented group of more than 50 singers, dancers, and actors who are looking to further improve their musicianship and give back to the community. Encore creates a safe space for singers of all backgrounds where diversity is celebrated and members support one another above all else. Kelly is also an avid genealogist.

Bio: Terri is a Broadway baby who started venturing into singing/acting in local theatre in 2012. Being legally blind since the age of nine did not lend itself well to participating in these artistic adventures. Bio: Strait sang with the chorus of the Houston Symphony and had the opportunity to sing under the direction of Leonard Bernstein. Strait was able to carry the Olympic Torch as it was crossing America for the 1984 Olympics. He is one of a few active members who has sung in every one of Encore’s main shows.

Bio: Lorie learned to sing in church and was part of a family quartet who sang in, among other things, funerals as a child. She began taking music lessons at age five with an accordion and later on with the piano and voice. Lorie has worked with the mentally ill for many years and is a healing touch practitioner. She is also an avid backpacker, as in the outer reaches of Mongolia.
